I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I did.RAW was Jericho for the first time in two years. RAW was not really that bad, Jericho had me laughing; who knew the picture form of the word "want" is Cookie Monster. It was also nice to see front jawbreaker I really do like this move, and had been awhile since I had seen that move anywhere. Jericho did have a slow pace in his match, but you would too if you had been out of the ring for two years; I anticpate the pace picking up in the coming weeks. I am glad Mickie James is the new number one contender for the Women's title, those of you who read this column regularly know how I feel about the other " I used to be a model before I did wrestling" divas; those who don't know you can check the archives for it. The Triple H and Jeff Hardy tag team looks to be coming to an end, and could not have come any sooner. I enjoyed the team during Survivor Series, but that is over so move on. Carlito is on his way out and WWE is making it known by sticking him in losing matches, or dumb situations who did not see this coming; WWE has been doing this practice for many years. I also hate to have to sit back and watch Ric Flair's last run in the WWE at least, and possibly the wrestling business. Ric Flair has done so much for wrestling it will be heartbreaking to see him have a "last" match, knowing he will be gone from wrestling.
ECW included missed moves and deep cuts into the talent's flesh. Model's wishing to be wrestler had a horrible match, does this suprise anyone? Also the WWE tag team champs were in action, Vince should just bring back the ECW titles and give them to Morrison and Miz. This practice of holding the other show's titles on thier show is retarded; the title lose thier value in my opinion. Also too it looks like ECW Extreme Rules Matches will disappear for a while again, Viscera cuts himself on the metal framing or as I call it " the coping". WWE should return to removing it before the show starts; notice the second table they used the coping was not there. This is not the first time the coping has been removed prior to destruction, old ECW, WCW and WWF/E used to do this years ago. This not only reduces the risk but makes it safer therefore more matches would probably take place. It does make the table a little more flimsy but it still can hold someone weight temporarally, TNA done this last week in one their matches but they have done this many times before.
TNA was so-so, what really hurt them is yet again the annouce team. Last week Booker T was to make his debut, but this week it was played as an impromtu debut. Also too having an eight-man tag team match as the main event was really a bad idea. Considering all the hype they put on the aquiring of Booker T, they should have had Booker T taking on anyone but Robert Roode for the main event. Also too this whole thing with Spike TV higher-ups with violence against women has got to stop! First, I thought Spike was television for men not Lifetime on steroids. Second, this is pro wrestling the women are trained to take bumps. Third, if the guys cannot hit the women then the women cannot hit the guys; NO DOUBLE STANDARDS! Fourth, if women's groups are complaining about this then how in the hell is Lifetime still on the air? All you see in thier made for television movies is depictions of women getting raped, then beating the odds and coming out on top. Gee, does this not sound similar to a wrestling storyline? Don't get me wrong here, I do believe that doing anything to either gender that is not mutually agreed upon and wanted is WRONG! Those that have overcame this obstacle good for you and I hope the person that did the unwanted act on you rots in hell. However wrestling is fake, therefore I do not see anything wrong with a man beating up a chick because the week before she cost him his match. I also understand that younger children watch wrestling, but that is why there are T.V. Ratings systems. If "Jimmy" goes nuts and hurts someone because he saw it on T.V. that is the parents fault for not being a parent not television. If that was the case I would have already done some terrible things from all the violent movies I watched with my father. For example the first time a seen Full Metal Jacket I was 8 years old, but my dad pointed out things I should not do and answered all my question I had; in other words BE A PARENT! I also noticed the "Beer Drinking" Championship was the plastic version on the WWE title. I thought this to be quite funny when Eric Young spun the center but it was really a waste of T.V. time. A quick note Jay Lethal appeared unscathed after falling through a table, maybe TNA should teach WWE how to take a table fall. This my readers is "How Santini Sees It!"
