Truth Can Hurt

Today's edition is simply going to be an extended rant, since it's been a couple weeks since I added y two cents to anything.

We will start with the obvious hot topic of the last week - Scott Hall no-showing Turning Point. Honestly, so what? Did anyone expect more from him than a couple "Hey Yo's" and a bad match? I wouldn't have. Nash, on the other hand, has been around TNA for a while, and at the very least knows the talent. I have no problem with what Samoa Joe said. I think there are superstars that simply take the light from the up & comers. Hall was definitely that. I would rather see Eric Young, who can perform, than Hall and Nash's reunion match. If I feel like watching a wrestling match for nostalgia sake, I'll put Wrestlemania 3 in my DVD player and check out Steamboat/Savage again. I understand Nash pissed at what Joe said, but I understand more why Joe was pissed at Hall.

RAW's 15th anniversary is next week with a 3 hour show. Will we see anything special? Other than some old faces re-appearing, probably not. It would be nice to see a title change, but even if we get one, it'll be maybe a Tag Title switch. I'll watch, but I think it'll be a 3 hour Vince getting his ass whooped.

One thing that has always bothered me about visiting wrestling sites - the fake bullshit headlines that are put up to get site hits. Last week I saw one talking about how fat Trish Stratus got. Hmmm, seeing pictures 2 days later, she still looks bangin. I guess we'll see next Monday. Are some wrestling sites pathetic enough for hits that they rely solely on those to get traffic? And I wonder why there's about 3 sites I actually bother to look at.

So Edge is back, oh yay. I can't stand Edge. Is he talented? Sure. Is he a bigger name guy? Yeah. Is he a World Champion? Not in my eyes. All his heel heat has always come from the women he's been paired with. Lita. GM Vickie Guerrero. If I watch Edge and Vickie make out one more time, I may puke. Edge may have lost "his title" because of injury, but um, so did the Undertaker. Oh, that's right, and to Edge. I think Taker deserves another title run far ahead of Edge. Give Taker the title, and one last shot at a lengthy run before it's too late. And Taker makes better matchups with all of Smackdown's roster than does Edge, especially with the bigger guys - Kane, Big Daddy V, Mark Henry, Batista, Kevin Thorn would be fun to see against Taker.

Why was the APA on RAW last night? I can understand the comedy surrounding helping Hornswoggle, and with the 15 year show next week, but Bradshaw just ruined it. Sloppy in the ring, and mic work was annoying. Simmons should have hit him with a Dominator.

At first, I hated that Hornswoggle was announced Vince's son. Now I love it. As long as they keep it fresh, fun, and different odd scenarios each week, I'll keep watching it.

So this new teaming/competition between Jeff Hardy & HHH is because HHH respects Hardy out of the ring for everything he's done in it, huh? Hunter, put Hardy over in this match and let him have the title match, then I will believe that.

Well we all knew the messages were for Jericho's return. What does it mean? Some new matches other than what we've seen far too much of in the last year. But does Jericho deserve a title match this early? Not really. Another thing I read is that Hunter believes Jeff hardy should be in the spot that Jericho is in right now. Like I said, HHH can prove what he really thinks of Jeff in this match. Jericho makes me laugh and is good in the ring, we'll see how long he remains at the top.

Finally this time, on to my real love - Football. Sean Taylor's senseless murder brought the entire NFL close together in the last week, but again, senseless. The man was 24 years old with a baby girl. I've watched Sean Taylor play football since his days at Miami. He was a great player who apparently was getting his life turned around. I offer my thoughts to his family and friends. RIP Sean.

With last night proving that even NFL refs want New England to go undefeated, I lost just about any respect I had for Tom Brady. The way that game went, and he couldn't even come off his horse for 2 minutes to give Baltimore any credit? Saying that they played just like any other team is a crock of shit. I don't see many other teams slapping his punk ass around the way Baltimore did last night.
