After a long break, I am back. I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays.RAW was okay to say the least. We did see the return of John Bradshaw Layfield this definitely add to RAW with him and Jericho. For a company who was going to lighten up with the pyro they sure did use a lot for JBL segment. We also did see the angle progress too, along with a good main event. You could clearly see Trip helping Flair out, the spinebuster seemed to take an enternity. I am actually liking the idea of Regal going face, this is good since RAW, ECW, and Smackdown all have heel GM's well Smackdown doesn't anymore since the reutrn of T-Lo. RAW roulette returns soon as well, I really enjoy those simply because there is the feeling of surprise with match types. I did say feeling since you can rig the wheel, I have not figured out if WWE rigs thiers; this would not surprise me if they did rig it. Jeff Hardy being pushed is cool, but it will be wierd at first if he does win the title; with Trip's pull don't be surprised if he does win it. Ultimately everyone knows the belt will find its way back to Trip, it has for quite some time.
ECW was well ECW, the matches are so-so filled with greenhorns and a few veterens. Yet again the Smackdown Tag Champs are on ECW, I hate this practice just bring back ECW's tag belts. The good thing is Chavo is now on the show the more vets the better, they can help the greens on the roster and so far they have produced two good talents in Morrison and Punk; but at the same time brought Viscera back to the forefront even if we have to look at those hideous man boobs everyweek. We have seen some new guys in those Shelton has squashed (I can't remember thier names). Even though ECW has been horrible as of late at least we have not had to witness two-move Elijah Burke. I am sure he is off honing his skills and I hope he returns better than ever then it will be 3 good guys ECW produced. However C.M. Punk seems to move faster then others in good matches but that is okay because Morrison and Punk are talents you can build a brand around, this is seen weekly. When Burke betters himself and the Miz just plain quits wrestling should be great in 2008. I know I bash ECW a lot but I am used to seeing vets all the time on RAW. How can you be good if you don't cut your teeth? The answer you can't, but with ECW really trying it is nice when you catch the glimpes of greatness; I just wish those glimpses showed themselves more often.
TNA was alright, finally we got to see Petey Williams' piledriver. I really was confused with the rankings gauntlet matches. The matches were good, but some of the winners did not make sense. My case and point, Cage winning the last gauntlet; he is already number one contender. I guess we now know from that Kurt Angle will retain his title at whatever the PPV is called; way to go TNA yet again you shoot yourself in the foot by giving away what seems the logical result. So this week we seen TNA yet again get too big for thier shoes, and try too hard to show up WWE. TNA needs to take advantage of thier small size while they still have it, this will keep the fan base from being sooo unstable. The A.J. angle went into the "dumb zone" with this weeks installment; does eveyone's middle name have to start with a J? The X divison angle is going on real good, but that is really the only good one they have. I am not understanding the VKM breakdown angle, I chalk that up to the fact they were off television for a long time during the contract disputes. I am referring to them wanting out so they can "try" to return to the WWE. I hope all off you know Team 3D will never be back in the WWE they have pissed off Vince too many times, the sad part is those two do not seem to think so.
Until next time
