RAW was the best one since the 15th anniversary special. I thought at first it may be very bad considering they barely spun the wheel and most of the contests stipulations were from "earlier Vince spun the wheel" garbage. This really put a damper on the roulette because suddenly it became just as fixed as the winners. That was until Hardcore Holly was for the match Carlito, that was just as halarious as Victoria's Sumo costume during the Halloween RAW. Not to mention that wig Carlito was wearing must have been glued to his head, even the Alabama Slam which I thought would surely take it off did not even budge it. It was also nice to see Ashley back from Survivor and the hiatus that followed waiting for the show to play out on television, I am not huge fan of the new hair cut. I think that I am a little bias though considering we have always seen a long haired Ashley from the begining. Mick showing up to help out Hornswoggle was totally unexpected, but even more unexpected was both are now in this years Royal Rumble. I was glad that the main event was for once a main event, sure it did start out really slow and we knew Umaga would never attempt to scale the cage; but man that Whisper in the Wind was awesome! I was begining to think nothing would happen from the top, then Jeff got up there with Umaga on the ground so naturally I thought the Swanton would be coming up. I have already seen the Swanton from that height and higher but then Jeff pretty much fell 20 feet straight to his back! This match I knew would tell if Hardy would get the title at the Rumble, and I was really impressed; I am sure management and Vince was impressed as well. I really enjoyed this RAW considering how it has been, however it was really hard to shake out the images of an awesome revamped American Gladitors. I know it is not wrestling and this is a wrestling column, but I would not be suprised IF the show fails some of these Gladiators show up in Vince's office wanting a job. So far though, after doing some research the Gladiator known as Hellga is trained in Professional Wrestling; least we forget Titan's wife was Scott Steiner's valet in WCW! Finally, the American Gladiators is responsible for one wrestler who may not have had the best carrer in Sports Entertainment but it was just that..... Entertaining. Yes I am talking about Rico Constantino, I actually had the priviledge of meeting him in the early 90's before he got into the wrestling business. Rico was nice and lit up when I told him I watched him on American Gladiators from start to finish. Many of these new Gladiators would make good wrestlers if used right, they already have build plus many of them are skilled MMA fighters; the records may not have many fights but they are fights nonetheless. So ask yourself....Watcha Gonna Do If A Gladiator Turns To Monday's To Entertain You!? Yeah I know really cheesy but I could not resist.ECW was a program I missed this week! So we'll shoot for next week!
TNA was okay and it looks like order will be restored, I just can't see Steiner as an X-division champ; can you? Also when seen the debut of Shelly Martinez, finally the mystery of the Latino Nation member was solved; I hope TNA does not mess this up. Yet again the standards and practices routine showed up in Roode's segment, dear lord when will Spike learn that wrestling is fake so this "NO HIT WOMEN Clause" stops. So your telling me a woman can powerbomb a man, but he can't fight back though it is okay to verbally abuse her. What a lovely message to send to the kids, wait.... when did a television give birth to a kid? I would pay to see that one! The main event was just that, this was good for the women in the business; it proves they can hang and keep butts in the seats way to go ladies! This match was awesome, I would have quit watching wrestling if Gail kept her title. Finally this story became more realistic, what about the triple powerbomb for the win! I was really blown away to see Kong is able to powerbomb a dude! I would definitely not get her mad at all, she would kill little ole' me! Readers this is how Santini sees it!
