I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Years eve. So this is 2008 and here I am again. I am writing because well I just felt like writing. Now the good thing about this is, no one that knows me in real life knows that I am Shadow. So Its easier for me to speak, so I will, I have a dilemma. I am currently engaged to be married, and I am happy about it. But there is also a woman from my past that I have loved for years, but she never knew. Now recently we have become reacquainted after a few years of losing contact, and we have hit it off, I feel that if I don’t tell her how I feel or at least make it known ill go into my marriage never knowing what could have been. I don’t want that, I know its not fair to my fiancé, but I just have to know. Any guys out there may know what I am saying. My female readers Im sure you’ve had your fair share as well. Now all this thinking made me think how cold as Ice I was. And Ice let me to Iceman King Parson.
See there is a method to my madness.
Iceman Parsons started wrestling in 1979 after being trained by Nick Kozak. He started out in the NWA's Pacific Northwest territory. He teamed with Rocky Johnson and won the tag team titles while he was there.
In 1982, he moved on to Jim Crockett Promotions where he teamed with Porkchop Cash and feuded with Don Kernodle and Jim Nelson over the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship.
Parsons then moved on to World Class Championship Wrestling where he had his greatest success in the business. Parsons was an ok wrestler in my opinion but I never really got the appeal he had, he beat Kerry Von Erich for the World Title, in what world should that ever have happened?
Parsons also beat the Great Kabuki in Kabukis first ever match, a mistake in my opinion because Kabuki should have been built up better. WCCW was by far the most erratic of bookers.
Parsons had a long and distinguished career, I remember his matches with Kabuki, with the Von Erichs when he shaved Freebird Buddy Roberts head, I remember his matches with Gentlemen Chris Adams, I hated Parsons finisher, the butt bump, what a crappy way to lose to someone. Suffice to say I was not his biggest fan.
I saw him on TV like 6 or 7 years ago in Dallas, in some local wrestling thing there, he looked old and fat and he still had his butt bump. Fall from grace but in my and others memories he will live on in Glory. As all great legends do.
Thing the last time he wrestled was for XCW back in 2005, since then I have not heard or seen any mention of him.
Anyway folks hope you enjoyed this and my own personal twist.
Goodnight and godbless.
