| Welcome to the first ever Dragon's Corner on TWNP news. It is a pleasure to be here and hope to be here for a long time to come. So here it is, pro wrestling in the 21st century. Is it anything as it once was from the previous century? Not as far as I can tell. A lot of wrestlers that wrestled ten years ago are gone. Stone Cold, The Rock, Mick Foley (only shows up once in a great while.), Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Goldberg, well, you get the idea. The talent that I see out there right now is subpar at best. No longer is the crowd electrified to the standards as they once were when a word would set them off and keep them from saying "boring" all the time. There's not a whole lot of surprises anymore except for the fact that a lot of our "modern day warriors" are getting busted for taking muscle enhancing drugs. Is this what we want our child to see, that it's alright to do this? Oh yes, the WWE has a "strict drug policy" in place-or do they? Once the heat is off them, I am sure the superstars will go back to doing what they were doing before.
This also brings me to the poor storylines that we are all relegated to every week from the WWE. Scantilly clad women are great eye candy, but when it comes to wrestling they don't have a clue. Where are the Chyna's, the Strauss's, even the Sable's? It was great watching Chyna kick the a** of the male wrestler she would face from week to week. But alas, those days are gone. Now we have to watch Mcmahon argue with Hornswoggle about how disappointed he is in his "ba***rd child." How we have to see the storyline go from Jeff Hardy being number one contender to John Cena getting a title shot at the next ppv (and probably winning.) Next it will be HHH versus Cena at WM 24, mark my words. Haven't we seen this alreay? They should put Hardy in a three way dance at least to get the title at WM. Cena, HHH, Hardy. That would be a good match. I have yet to see a bad match with Hardy in it. Does it sound as if I am pro-Hardy? Probably so, probably so. The time for Cena to be champ is slowly passing and getting old to watch. Give it to him until WM and then let some new blood have it for awhile. HHH has had it enough, Cena had it for his year-plus run, Hardy is stuck with the I-C championship (at least it's a belt around his waist) and another match with Umaga, or as Regal would say-Umanga..Anyways, give the title to a deserving wrestler that puts his body on the line every single match he has. Then the I-C championship could go to a different wrestler, after a 16 round tournament of course. That would help some storylines for at least 4 weeks. And what about the Tag Team Championship, Holly and Rhodes? Getting old already in my eyes. Have a controversy, have them lose it and have the teams most deserving draw numbers or use the wheel or something different then what they are doing. They have to make it interesting to wanna watch wrestling again. I hear Big Show is coming back, will that help? Another big guy to help the ratings? yeah right..only time will tell and if the story is right. But knowing McMahon and HHH (we all know he has a lot of stroke behind the scenes) they will blow this return as they did with Jericho's.
