Added thoughts on Wrestlemania 24

From watching Raw on Monday the 25th, some more details are being revealed for the Wrestlemania 24 matches we will be seeing. I suppose they could be construed as good, but as I see it, just about the only match that looks any good so far is Shawn Michaels Vs. Ric Flair. I wonder if Michaels will stay the face in this or if they will have him turn heel when going against the icon Flair. I am hoping it will be on the straight and narrow with a lot of good moves and a nice long match. We all know that if Flair loses the match he has to retire afterwards, who better to retire to then Shawn.
I’m still trying to get excited about the three-way match with HHH, Cena, and Orton. When HHH and Cena teamed up on the show to go against Orton and Kennedy the match was crap. I am still trying to figure out why that was even put on the air. Kennedy coming in and knocking Cena silly after the match with HHH watching was just plain out of nowhere, who didn’t see this was going to happen. I hope they can come up with something better next week, cause for me, I could careless who wins this one. Although we all know HHH will pull it off, so move on please or come up with something that will spice this up.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match has Shelton Benjamin, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, and Ken Kennedy participating in it (maybe more to come), it could be a good one, but I think we know who should win this if there is any justice to the system. Jeff Hardy should walk out with the suitcase if McMahon is listening to how the crowd is reacting when he comes out each and everytime.
Big Show and Mayweather, come on now, as I said in my last column, Mayweather wouldn’t have signed up to do this if he was going to lose. I am willing to bet WWE will get more real athletes to comment on this match as the weeks go on just so it sounds like a well hyped match and if Mayweather can even pull out a possible win. Hahahahahaha-we all know it’s sports entertainment and Big Show will have to job. Of course publicity is exactly what McMahon is wanting from this and he is getting it, good move on his part. I just hope that paying Mayweather 20 million dollars for doing this won’t come back and bite Vince in his a**.
Bunnymania match?? Who cares, it’s just more T and A to appease the perverts out there. Don’t get me wrong, I like the occasional look at T and A like the next guy, but if I am forking over 55 dollars for a show such as this, I don’t want to see subpar women “athletes” on this show of shows.
Why in the world did they have Umaga squash D.H. Smith? I mean hasn’t Smith paid for what he did already by being the scapegoat back in November? I think McMahon is doing this to get back at Bret Hart for all those things that were done to him way back when. D.H. your wrestling career is turning out to be that of a jobber. I just hope you didn’t sign a 5 year contract, cause if you did, your career is over, at least as far as WWE is concerned.
Finlay as Hornswoggle’s Dad? I’m thinking they don’t know where else they want to go with this storyline, so they have to come up with a swerve to keep it going for some reason. Seems as if they are beating a dead horse. JBL vs. Finlay at WM 24 is a filler match that’s for sure. Lets move on folks!!
Edge Vs. Undertaker. If I were Undertaker and I had to do the job to Edge at the grand daddy of all shows, I would tell them where to put their job. Nuff said on that.
The only thing that seems to be worth watching that weekend before the show is the Hall of Fame induction with High Chief Maivia and Rocky Johnson being inducted by the Rock at least that will be a guaranteed entertainment piece. It will actually be interesting to see who else is inducted.
I don’t want to see Stone Cold nor do I want to see Mick Foley or any past wrestler shoved into a “special match” just to gather more buy rates for this, nor should we see anything to do with Mae Young either, ugh. They need to avoid past superstars showing up for a one-time match just to collect a pay check. The WWE needs to come up with worthwhile storylines to want to watch the “super bowl” of professional wrestling. Will it happen, will it be worth the 50 some dollars we will pay to get it? Only time will tell. Oh that's right, I forgot, Big Show is back and will solve all of WWE's ratings problems. At least that's what Vince hopes...

That’s my 3 cents worth..til next time..
