Smackdown
Mid-carders of the world! Now is your time! So HHH is going to defend his title against Jeff Hardy, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and TBK (The Brian Kendrick) in the Championship Scramble. This is an opportunity to vault a great mid-card talent to main event status. I don’t care who it is. I think all four of those guys are great talents and deserve title runs. Ok, maybe not TBK so much, but this match should put RAW’s championship scramble to shame. I pray... oh how I pray that Khali and Big Show won’t be added to the match. Khali is just horrendous in the ring. I wish Kennedy was healthy. It would be fun to see him involved.

In response to my poll last week, IMO Big Show could have been listed as one of the most underrated wrestlers ever. Why? Because we all take him for granted. He’s 400+ lbs and he bounces around the ring quicker than most 300 pounders. He sells well and even made the Great Khali look decent in their match together. He’s even good on the mic. The problem is that we like the underdog... the little guy. Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, etc. The reality is that Big Show could kill any of these guys if he wanted too. Anyway, enough about that.

RAW
Go Kane go! Go Kane go! I like Kane as a psycho and using him as anything else is a waste. Lets take a second to play Jeopardy.
The answer is: Kane and Batista.
The question is: Who are two guys who aren’t going to win the championship scramble?

You don’t have two guys take that many chair shots to the leg if you’re not looking for a reason for them not to win. And WTF was up with Batista taking 3 chair shots against the pole and then getting up, jumping outside and then hitting Kane a bunch of times?! Were those pain-delayed chair shots from Kane? Stupid.

Chris Jericho is terrific as a heel and his promos have been great since he turned. He should never... eeeeevvvveeeeeerrrrr... be face... again. Anyway, the feud between Y2J and HBK reminds of what feuds are supposed to be like. Kane/Mysterio and Jericho/Y2K are the only things I care about on RAW.

“Hey! Rhodes and Dibiase! We’re Cryme Tyme and we challenge you!” What are they going to say? “No, we reject your challenge because you’re the only true tag-team in the WWE.” At least it’s a tag-team rivalry and not a bunch of singles competitors wishing they were wearing the World Championship. Could be a good feud, but we’ll see how it goes.

So I received 4 responses this week:
Rob thinks Shelton and Noble are both being used all wrong. Can’t argue with either of those
Graboidz thought Goldberg was not used properly during his WWE run and also mentioned Saturn, Dreamer, Snow, Mohammed Hassan.
Zeke said, “Val Venis.”
Ben Snyder named Jamie Noble as well.

So that leads to my personal favorite wrestler of all time to watch in the ring and that’s Bam Bam Bigelow. I could go on and on, but I remember when he debuted in the WWE way back when and how he took out One Man Gang and King Kong Bundy in the Survivor Series before losing to Andre the Giant. I was a big time mark right then and there. The tattoos on the head were really cool at a time when not all wrestlers were inked. Then all of a sudden he was gone. The guy made everyone he wrestled with look fantastic. Hell, he made Lawrence Taylor look good! With the exception of ECW, nobody knew what they had with him. RIP buddy.

Ok, on to the next poll. This may be a stupid question, but I can be as stupid as a RAW GM when I want to be! Which do you look forward to more, Wrestlemania or the Royal Rumble?

Until next time.
