Apparently the economy has hit home with the WWE and so they have decided to cut many jobs in their main headquarters as well as talent roster once again. We can bid farewell to D-Lo Brown, Val Venis, Kevin Thorn, and Bam Neely to name just a few. I am sure there will be more released as time goes on. So even the WWE is being hit by this bad economy that we are in.

Vince may have hated the movie, The Wrestler, but now Mickey Rourke has a Golden Globe for his performance in the film. This movie will not go away I guarantee you this. It is a powerful film that invokes lots of emotion and character in Mickey’s performance. I could careless if Vince doesn’t like it, it will stick around for awhile. It was amazing to see, no wonder Roddy Piper cried when he saw it.

I am still hoping that the Cena/JBL match doesn’t take place, but it is looking as if it will. Why?? Haven’t we seen enough of those two? How about JBL vs. HBK vs. JBL, at least that would make it a bit more interesting. Would HBK turn his back on all the fans to help JBL win the match, or would he go and try to win it clean? I would much rather see that happen then another Cena/JBL match again, it’s been done to death. On Raw HBK and Cena will square off with one another and I am willing to bet that JBL will have something to do with the finish of the match, hopefully setting up a triple threat at the Royal Rumble.

Have you noticed that the WWE is still putting Kofi Kingston in tag matches and no singles matches? I can tell you why, they have no faith in the man as a single’s wrestler. They tried it and it didn’t work, so from now on he will be relegated to tag matches that no one cares about, maybe and hopefully he will go back to the ECW where he belongs. He doesn’t belong on the Raw brand, well that’s just my opinion.

Vince returns in one more week….do we care?

Kane versus Randy Orton, can we say interference by Manu and Snuka to help Kane win? Or will it be the other way around? Your guess is as good as mine. If they keep the storyline as it is, the two should help Kane out for the win, but with the WWE, stories change all the time.

Is the rumor true that Stone Cold will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year? I wouldn’t be surprised in the least. With WM 25 you would think this milestone would have them do it. He is still pretty popular in the wrestling circles, even if his box office clout isn’t quite there yet. It would be nice to see Owen Hart put in the mix as well.

We know that Batista will be out for quite sometime, so him being at the biggest event of the year is quite doubtful. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was there, but as far as a match with him in it, no way. Too bad, I was hoping for a Cena/Batista rematch at WM 25.

It's looking more and more as if Christian Cage will return to the WWE to the Smackdown brand. With this "hit and run" storyline with Jeff Hardy, he would be the mystery person to have done it. If it isn't, ya got me.

That’s my 3 cents worth, ‘til next time…
