Winter's Storm-Not much to say, about wrestling.

I didn’t really take too much time out of my life to watch Raw this Monday night, I am in agreement with D Ray- this stuff is utter crap. Who cares that Wrestlemania 25 is coming in the next few days. I don’t want to see Kid Rock, nor do I even care about HHH and Orton anymore. Been there, done that. The only thing that was funny about Raw was the Mankini that Santino wore to the ring and his beat down that he received from all the woman. I skipped that entire match altogether, so I didn’t catch who won. But again, who cares. Most of the 2 hours didn’t have wrestling in it, just a lot of “jibber-jabber” and “jaw jaking” back and forth between the wrestlers.

I instead relegated myself to watching Heroes (ah Sylar you are my hero) and got more satisfaction out of that one hour then I have in months of watching wrestling. I don’t know about you, but it’s a wonder the ratings aren't lower then they are. Oh boy, 3.6 is supposed to be good? Most television shows get cancelled if their ratings are at this point. Speaking of television series, I will miss my “Life on Mars” that was on Wednesday nights on ABC. They ended the show too soon that is for sure. Why couldn’t they get rid of some of these ridiculous reality shows that are flooding the airwaves right now and preserve great shows such as this one. Anyways, I am going to give you a quick note as to how they ended it, so if you don’t want to know, stop reading now……………………….it turns out that Sam is an astronaut on Earth's first mission to Mars in 2035. While in a deep sleep for the two-year journey, his brain is manipulated by miniature brain-robots into believing that he's from 2008. However, there was a glitch and suddenly he's in 1973. In short, it was all a dream….

Maybe my life right now is all a dream and I’m still in 1987 and totally exhausted after watching Wrestlemania 3. Yes that has to be it. How could they ever top that show? Beats me, I don’t think they ever have. No, I know they haven’t. The greatest match ever in the history of wrestling in my opinion was on this particular show. I’m sure you can guess which one that is---Randy “Macho Man” Savage Vs. Ricky “The Dragon" Steamboat. It blew me away and with that being the case, I’m always using this match to be the match to beat in regards to all matches after this on WWE programming. Is this wrong? Am I really that petty? I guess so. Such as life.

I’m still trying to figure out why the federation would even have a roster draft this month as well. It seems to me that the wrestlers come and go out of each show every week as it is now. One week Cena is on Raw, then Smackdown. Edge and Big Show show up on Raw another week and then Jeff Hardy is on Raw as well. I thought HHH was supposed to be the star on Smackdown, but now he is on Raw. It boggles the mind. Why even have the draft if the guys (and gals) are going from one show to the next anyway? Oh, is it because of ratings? Trust me, if that is it, it won’t help them. It hasn’t in the past, it won’t now.

So Tazz (Peter Senerchia) is no longer with the WWE (at least that’s what is being reported). I guess he just got burned out from all the travel and decided to call it quits while he was at the tail end of his contract. Since 2002 he has been retired from the squared circle because of nagging injuries so to think he would go to TNA and wrestling would be off base, correct? Weirder things have happened in this sport and who knows what Tazz has planned for himself. I wish him luck in whatever he does in the future. Even though I haven’t watched a Smackdown show in months, I always enjoyed his wrestling even though it was years ago.

If the WWE has any semblance of sanity, they will not let Mark Henry win the Ladder Match at Wrestlemania. The guy can’t wrestle. I don’t care that he has been with the company since 1996, the man is painful to watch in any kind of a match that he is in. My mini dachshund could put on a better show then him. Please for the love of Pete, do not let this goober win!!!

I still say the Undertaker will have has record intact when all is said and done. I’m sure he is close to retirement, so as a reward for all his years with the federation, his record will be 17-0 (and maybe a title run to come, minus injuries that is).

One last thing before I go, instead of watching Smackdown on Friday nights, did you know that Prison Break returns on April 17th? 8e/7c…this is their last season as well, so why not watch the darn show. Anything is better then the wrestling they have on now. Besides, there is also Friday Night Lights 9e/8c on NBC to fill the rest of the time, if you haven’t watched that, you are definitely missing a fabulous show. So there ya go, you won’t miss watching Smackdown at all on Friday, I guarantee it, I know I haven’t.

That’s my 3 cents worth, ‘til next time…
