And now for something entirely new, I’m switching it up a bit on Winter’s Storm this week, instead of WWE taking the top spot, TNA is going to be discussed first. The Main Event Mafia comes to the ring without Stinger, hmmm. Kurt Angle suggests to Jeff Jarrett that he be put into the Ultimate Sacrifice match at the PPV and if he loses, whoever pins him becomes the new leader of the MEM. Team 3D Tournament: X-Division champion Suicide & The Amazing Red defeat The Motor City Machineguns. I love the tag team division in TNA, to me it doesn’t matter who’s wrestling, I’m just excited to see some good tag teams wrestling in the sport of pro wrestling these days. LAX was supposed to wrestle, but Hernandez got jumped by a new British faction consisting of Brutus Magnus, Doug Williams and Rob Terry. Homicide came to the ring and it turned into a handicap match, which the Brits won anyway. I say old chap!!! Now they just need to get William Regal in the faction and it would be complete. Awesome Kong beat Madison Rayne in a Stretcher Match. Unbelievably 100% better then any WWE women’s match in recent memory. Abyss match is next one stipulation though, he couldn't use weapons, be he still defeated Cody Deaner. No surprise there. The Motor City Machineguns come out and call out Daniels. They begin giving reasons that they know he's really Suicide. Daniels comes out and says he doesn't owe them any thing, then takes them out. Whether you agree with me or not, Daniels (as well as AJ Styles are two of the most under-rated wrestlers in the profession today.) Booker T and Kevin Nash defeated AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. It should be noted that Joe didn't come out until halfway into the match, which turned into a lot of arguing between the two. Booker drilled Styles with the belt to set up the finish. After the match and the loss, Styles slapped Joe and they brawled until the referees broke them up. Does this mean Joe will be joining the MEM soon? Have to believe that is coming up. So ends TNA for the week….Some damn fine wrestling if I say so myself. This is one of the main reasons TNA is first in my article and not the WWE this week and possibly from now on. Much as I hate to comment on what happened with Raw last week, that’s what I do for this website, it came as no surprise to me that Batista would be named Orton’s next opponent. With HHH hopefully out for awhile, there will be a “new” feud between the Animal and the Legend Killer. It’s not really a new feud because going back to April of 2005, Batista had the title and Orton was going for it at that time, which Orton did not succeed in doing. I don’t know about you, but I would really like to see something of a change occur at the next PPV. I’m tired of the same old feuds and same guys doing them. If anything, it would be a nice swerve at the PPV to have Ted Dibiase come into the ring and make it look like he’ll help Orton win the match and then crack Orton in the head with brass knuckles. Then have Batista win it by disqualification because the ref saw it happen. Dibiase then has a run at the title as a face. It’s just a thought. Also from last Monday’s Raw, you had to figure that the Big Show wasn’t going to win the match against Batista after helping Edge gain the title from Cena the night before. Low and behold Cena shows up towards the end of the show and just his mere presence distracts Show which helps Batista win the match by a quick countout. Near as I could tell though, Big Show was in the ring at the nine count so the match should have kept going. But that’s neither here nor there, we will be getting Cena vs. Big Show for awhile to come I guess. Oh yip….. I have to say Smackdown was a better show this past week then Raw was coming off the PPV. The fatal four-way was fantastic to watch especially with Rey going against Hardy in the final minutes of the match. Umaga returned to wreck havoc with CM Punk after his match against Edge, so one has to expect Punk not cashing in the MITB match anytime soon. If the set-up is done correctly, a Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison feud could have some good potential, that is if the WWE writers let Jericho have a lot of input in what happens with the storyline. I guess Jeff Hardy will have his hand in the coffers again when he gets to meet up with Edge for the title at Judgment Day. How much do you want to bet that Hardy will come up short in the end? How about that rumor that he would be leaving the federation soon? To me if he was, they wouldn’t be putting him in the title picture. The one bad spot of the show was with Cryme Tyme and judging a dance contest with Layla and Eve. But what do you expect? Vince isn’t too high and mighty on tag teams, so this is what they are relegated to do for the show. What exactly is the federation going to do with Khali now? To me, the Khali Kiss Cam has run its course, or has the whole idea about Khali as a wrestler run its course? Couple of side notes, if you were wondering where Shawn Michaels has been since Wrestlemania, he is taking time off. With his age and the rigors of the road and bad knees, he needed to get away for awhile. Don’t expect to see too much of him until mid summer… If you didn’t know by now Playboy Buddy Rose passed away on April 28th. Most kids wouldn’t know much about the man, but all I can say is he would put many of the wrestlers in today’s rings to shame with his ability and talent. He was even a great athlete in baseball, hockey, and softball. Not many can say that, hell some of the wrestlers today can barely put on a 5 minute match before the crowd starts the chant, “boring.” Rest in peace Buddy…. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time….
