Rundown of TNA Impact from May 7thThe show opens with the Main Event Mafia coming to the ring with Sting. Kurt Angle comes out to the ring and announces that if he is pinned at Sacrifice, the person who pins him will become the new leader of the MEM. He then calls out Mick Foley to address the rumors that there will be a 10-man tag team contest tonight. Foley then comes out with Daniels. He confirms that there will be a 10-man tag match tonight. He and Angle argue back and forth a little bit about injuries. Foley then picks his tag team partners for the night. Daniels, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett will be on his team when they face The MEM. Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles come out and look puzzled. Foley tells Jarrett that their relationship has not been damaged beyond repair and says that whatever happened in the past was just business. Jarrett tells him to kiss his a*s. X-Division Champion Suicide def. Consequences Creed (w/ Jay Lethal) in a non-title match. Quite a good match. We all know that Daniels is Suicide, don’t we? Mike Tenay has an interview with the entire Main Event Mafia. They talk about where MEM has been and where it's going. They talk about the former heat between Sting and Angle and how its gone by the wayside. Angle says that he'll show Sting that he loves him like a brother by beating Mick Foley and getting revenge for him for the beating Foley gave him at Lockdown. Matt Morgan defeated the Main Event Mafia Security. Quite a good showing for the 400-pound “Rocco.” Even though it was a squash match it was a good one. Team 3D then comes out to ringside to do commentary. They comment about Jim Ross’s blog that tag team wrestling wouldn't be returning to glory anytime soon. Brother Ray says that if the company Ross works for doesn't value tag team wrestling, people can come watch it on TNA where it is alive and well. Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match: Beer Money, Inc. def. Eric Young and Jethro Holliday to advance to the finals of the tournament. Ahh, I love tag team matches. I should say real tag teams. Highlights from last week's Stretcher Match are shown between Awesome Kong and Madison Rayne. Stretcher Match between Awesome Kong and Velvet Sky. Kong made quick work by hitting Sky with four Implant Busters and an Awesome Bomb. Not the best match I’ve seen-did I accidentally tune into a WWE match by mistake? I was disappointed in this match, Awesome Kong could have done much better with it. Abyss is in the back with Dr. Stevie. Daffney comes in and Stevie says that he wants Abyss to transfer his aggression to her. He announces that she will be in a Knockout's Monster's Ball at Sacrifice and says that he needs to be in her corner for the match. Weird…. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed come out to the ring and Daniels comes out as well. They give him thanks for making the way for guys like them to join TNA and the X-Division. Then they say that they think he's Suicide. Lethal is great with his Macho Man impression, I had thought Macho was on the show. Anyways, Daniels said that if Creed worried a little more about himself and not who is under the Suicide mask he wouldn't have gotten his butt kicked earlier in the evening. Daniels calls Lethal a joke. Lethal slaps Daniels and calls him a jerk. Creed holds them apart as The Motor City Machineguns come out. They say that next week they will expose Daniels as Suicide. Lauren is in the back with Angelina Love who is freaking out about the Awesome Kong situation. Love gets a call and tells the person on the other end to be there next week. Who was Love talking to?? The Main Event Mafia def. Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, Daniels, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe after Jarrett drove Foley's face into a barbed wire baseball bat. Foley went after Jarrett with the bat, but Jarrett was able to counter and strike first. Sting then covered Foley and earned a title shot at Sacrifice. Sting then gets on the microphone and announces that he’s been added to the main event at Sacrifice. He will put his career on the line. So, if he gets pinned at Sacrifice he will retire. End of show…..I have to say this show far exceeded Raw from last week. There is also the rumor that Dennis Rodman is interested in wanting to go to TNA as well. All I can say is ugh and please God NO!!.….As a reminder, the TNA Sacrifice PPV event will be held in Orlando, FL. on Sunday, May 24th. WWE nonsensical stuff Last week on Raw I knew was going to be predictable and to watch the whole thing without taping it would have been idiotic. I told a friend well before the match between McMahon and Orton that Priceless was going to get involved. Imagine that, Priceless getting involved in the match. Throughout the evening it was becoming apparent we should all know where Batista is going to end up. You know he’s going to be turning heel-at least not until after Judgment Day after HHH interferes in the match. This will culminate in a match at Summerslam. Hmmm, don’t be surprised folks, this will more then likely happen-WWE has become predictable. Of course after posting this (and someone from WWE sees it, they will change the course of the storyline, if they are wise.) HHH’s act to me has run stale, Batista does the same moves in every match and Cena is… Cena. Maybe the feud with Big Show will help out for this summer, but I’m doubting it very much. Don’t look for Priceless to be together for the entire year. When the Marine 2 comes out on DVD, the WWE wants Ted Dibiase to be a face so that it sells more copies. Stay tuned to this happening because even right now you can see it in Ted’s demeanor towards Orton. I was incorrect about Jericho having a program with Morrison. Instead it would appear as if the federation will be going with a Mysterio vs. Jericho program for the summer. It all pertains to what happened while they were overseas and Jericho accidentally pulled Mysterio’s mask off on more then one occasion. Look for this to be the center point of the feud. I was hoping on a Morrison/Jericho feud just for something completely new from WWE, but as with all things pertaining to the WWE, it didn’t pan out. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t mind seeing this happen cause I think both athletes are extraordinary in the squared circle, I was just hoping for something different. Whatever happened to the WWE having faith in R-Truth and giving him a good spot on the roster? All I’m seeing is him losing his matches and getting no where. Nice way to bury the guy. The federation made a move for him because he was in TNA and decided to do nothing with the man. Lesson learned I bet. Here’s a great case in point with the tag team division (if you even want to call it that) in the WWE; Cryme Tyme (on Smackdown) had an arm wrestling contest with Eve and Layla- so no wrestling for them, imagine that. The tag team champs the Colons, didn’t do any tag teaming. All that Carlito did was wrestle a singles match on Raw. That was it. Oh boy, to be tag team champions right now doesn’t really mean a damn thing in the WWE. Vince is going to dump the division, just you wait. You have to admit Team 3D was correct with what they said on TNA this past Thursday. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time….
