Umaga has been let go by the WWE, Batista is out for an undetermined amount of time with a torn tendon (which isn’t as bad as previously thought), Vickie Guerroro is finished being the general manager on Raw, and we will still have a Cena/Big Show feud to have to deal with.First off, I was a bit surprised to see WWE let Umaga go considering he pretty much just came back to wrestle after being away because of an injury. Besides that, he was just on the Extreme Rules PPV this past Sunday. There has to be something we are not aware of with this release. Even though I wasn’t impressed with the match between him and Punk, I figured with him starting to talk english they were going to do something with him. Was it a cost cutting maneuver on the federation’s part to trim the fat so to speak or was it something else-a wellness policy violation maybe? Stay tuned I’m sure more will be revealed… Another injury for Batista, imagine that. It’s a wonder why the WWE is keeping him around. He’s becoming a hindrance to his own body and being close to 40, it would be wise for him to consider retiring before his entire body falls apart on him. Yes I know the man is a genetic freak and built like a brick s##t house, but it seems to me even that isn’t helping him. He came back too soon from his last injury and now he will be out for who knows how long, unless they put him in a cast of some sort and he sticks around to do some storyline for the company. With the return of HHH and Orton not being able to get his rematch against Batista because of HHH coming back before the match even started, will Batista still be champ come next Monday? Or will the WWE strip him of the title and have a tournament (great idea) to decide who will be the next champ? I can’t say I’m sorry to see Vickie Guerroro finished as general manager. But I have to admit the, “Excuse Me” rant always raised hairs on the back of my neck every time I heard it. She decided to leave because she wanted to spend time with her children so another performer for the federation leaves due to little time with their family. She may have been a real pain for us fans, but you gotta admit she did put on a show for us all. Good luck Vickie….Edge wants a “divorce” from her as well. Does this mean he will be turning face and CM Punk turning heel for the Smackdown brand? Now the question remains, who will be the next Raw Manager, I’m hoping not another McMahon and dear God don’t bring back Adamle. Or could it possibly be the Nature Boy Ric Flair?? He wanted to return, and what better way to do this then to be named Raw General Manager? I was hoping Cena and Big Show feud would be ended as of the PPV, I was wrong. Big Show put the stretch on Cena on Raw, so it continues… Ugh…what else can they do with these two? It looks as if they will be throwing the Miz into the mix of this feud, so maybe it won’t be so bad to deal with. How many think Priceless will become the new Unified Tag Team Champions soon? Do we care? I don’t anymore. This division is so messed up, I don’t think anyone cares about it any longer. I haven’t brought up TNA in recent articles because their results are already posted for the next many weeks, so it doesn’t pay to get into it. It’s a cost saving move on their part, but with a month’s worth of show taped, I fear their ratings will begin to fall because of this venture. I still love the product, but now that I know what will be happening so far in advance, it makes me look elsewhere on the day of the broadcast. Hence the reason I very rarely watch Smackdown-no wait, since they moved to Friday’s, I have hardly watched the show. The ratings are saying this very thing as well, last week’s rating was a dismal 1.9 for Smackdown, that has got to hurt Vince in a big way. It doesn’t help that Friday’s are not a big night for people to watch television shows either. Whenever a regular show goes to that day, you can pretty much guarantee it will be cancelled soon. (unless the show is on CBS that is…lots of elderly folks tune in to that station and are able to keep their shows intact, I don’t know why.) Whatever, it doesn’t make a difference, summertime for any show will drastically drop the ratings until Autumn shows its ugly face, then things pick up again. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time….
