Well hello there sports fans and welcome to my view on Raw. Its the show after the PPV and usually this means we get an exciting edition of Raw and this one was no exception. Lots of action and plot twists made this a pretty decent show. For the benefit of those of you who missed it heres what went down.

As was blabbed all over the Internet Sunday nite and Monday Batista has a torn muscle or tendon... I've read both and really I have no idea the extent of his injury but whatever it is they are gonna get it fixed before he can do much in the ring. Not knowing about the injury would have been a lot better for me because the Legacy beatdown of Batista on Raw last night and subsequent injury of his arm would have been a surprise instead a much anticipated answer to the “how are they gonna deal with the injury” question. I can see why Vince McMahon gets pissed at internet gossips for spilling details before airtime but gossips need work too. I was the one who clicked the link so I got nothing to cry about.

So anyway Batista comes out in his street clothes and the crowd loves it. He is happy to be the new champ and his destruction of Orton and all Orton holds dear is just beginning. His happy moment is shortened by the appearance of Randy and Orton stalks down the ramp in his weird long tee shirt and panties outfit making his usual weird faces and trying to be scary mannerisms. Debiase and Rhodes jump in the ring and the three try to beat up the new champ. Batista does good for a few minutes but just as he gets ready to deliver his powerbomb to Orton a chair from behind stops him and the beatdown begins. A lot of assorted arm torture later Randy puts the arm of Batista in a chair and stomps the chair eleven times. As the coup de grace Randy wrenches the arm backwards and Batista sells the broken arm or shoulder dislocation or whatever they come up with later and is loaded into an ambulance and hauled away. This was well done and Randy did a good job of being evil and merciless. He makes a deal with Vicki Guerrero for a rematch tonite and if Batista doesn't show up Randy will win the belt back by forfeit. Another well used heel move and the crowd is really into the show now.

Kofi vs Regal in a non title match is up next and Regal cuts his usual brilliant promo against Jamaicans and Americans and says the US title should be held by someone with class and dignity like him. As Regal is beating on Kingston he is yelling at the crowd and Kofi berating everyone. Regal is a great performer and he and Kofi have a short but brutal match that was well worth watching. Kofi gets the pin and this ones over.

Kelli Kelli vs diva champ Maryse with Micki James at the announce table comes next and they have their usual excellent match. The girls always put on a great show and this ones no exception. Maryse wins and after the match the girls engage in a little slap fight and as we knew she would Micki comes into the ring to chase off the evil Maryse. Micki is still mad about the perfume to the eyes a few weeks back and will soon take on Maryse for the title. Micki looks very hot in her fancy dress and heels and runs in heels pretty good. The King was awfully happy to have had her at ringside and the good girls win tonite.

After the break we get a rehash of the hogpen match between Santina and Vicki Guerrero with Chavo as her partner from Extreme Rules and it looks like it was pretty funny. Santina won and is once again Miss wrestlemania. Vicki cuts a promo confirming Orton's statement about the match with him and Batista and she pronounces Orton Orden. Funny...Followed by a Miz -Maryse promo that has Maryse not the least bit impressed by Miz and is totally repulsed by his lack of awesomeness...funny again.

6 Man tag match with Santino, Festus and Goldust against Jamie Noble, Brian Kendrick and Chavo. A bit of revenge here as Santino has a feud with Chavo over the Vicki thing and Goldust and Hornswoggle have bad blood with Kendrick. Noble and Festus are just a bonus. All of these guys are fun to watch and great wrestlers and Festus and Goldust have great gimmicks. Nice tight work by all as the monster Festus murders Kendrick and some good fast slams by Goldie. Santino gets the pin and the good guys win. A good segment but way too short to suit me.

Miz vs Cena comes next and after another good Miz promo Cena finally comes to the ring but the clean match we were hoping for is blown when Big Show waddles to the ring all pissed off and wants another piece of Cena. It seems Show didn't get enough at the PPV and wants to settle things...again. Show slowly murders Cena and nobody cares. We are tired of this mismatch and were hoping it was all over but I guess its still gonna drag on. Just when things look hopeless for our entertainment Miz comes back to the ring and gives show 5 weak chairshots and kinda stops him for a minute. Whatever happened to the real rasslers who took the shots to the head instead of these weak shoulder and back blows? What, are they afraid of a concussion or two? That never stopped Foley, Austin or The Rock. Anyway Miz also chairs an unconscious Cena and wisely runs away from the recovering Show and Miz adds a level of nastiness to his character that was much needed. The boy will go far with this business but I am still waiting for a clean match from all this.

Matt Hardy vs Mvp...whatever

A brilliant promo from Vicki, She doesn't care if anyone likes her decision to let Orton have his BS match against the disabled Batista. All she cares about is all the humiliation she has had to suffer from Santina and is mad about being known as the piggy lady. As if she isn't pissed enough Edge makes his way to the ring and tells her that since she is quitting as Raw GM he wants a divorce. He says that with his movie star good looks and flowing blond hair why would he want to be with a pig like her. She does an incredible job of crying and flopping around in the ring reminiscent of Stephanie during the McMahon-Helmsley era and even though this promo took a long time it was very funny and entertaining. Followed by a Cena promo on Miz and show.

Primo and Carlito vs Rhodes and Debiase is next and if Priceless win they get a shot at the tag belts held by Primo and Carlito so we know they will win. And in a short and non impressive match they cheat to win. I expect more from these guys but tonite the tv time is limited so they have to do a rush job for the win.

Finally at one minute before the hour Orton comes out with his two goons and they all stand there in the ring like they have nothing to worry about. Orton is hoisting Batista's belt like its already his and boasting about how soon Priceless will win the tag belts and then they will have all the gold. The ref starts the obligatory ten count for Batista to show up and Legacy is ready to once again triple team the guy but to everybody's surprise the ambulance pulls up outside and HHH's music hits. Orton gets a horrified look on his stupid face and Rhodes and Debiase scramble to get chairs. Trips comes toward the ring and man is he pissed. He's got his trademark sledgehammer and makes short work of the two goons with chairs. One blow apiece to Priceless and they are laying on the floor knocked out. Randys not gonna get any help tonite. HHH drops the hammer and rips off his shirt and hits the ring. After beating Orton for awhile in the ring the fight goes to the audience and Trips chases Randy through the crowd and they fight on the concrete floor among all the popcorn and candy wrappers. HHH is beating Orton like a government mule and the announce table gets disassembled and Randy manages to hit HHH with a monitor but it does him no good. Back in the ring HHH hits Orton with an impressive 10 chairshots and Randy takes em like a man all over his body including the previously mentioned shot to the head. The crowd is going wild and chants of pedigree, pedigree start up. Not being one to disappoint HHH sets Orton up and drops him onto the chair with a devastating pedigree and poses over his broken body. Randy lays there drooling and Trips does the DX chop over his body to end the show.

I guess this means that Randy isn't gonna get to steal the belt but they weren't really clear about that on the show. I didn't expect to see HHH tonite but am very glad he came back to fix the show and get retribution on Orton. The fans loved every minute of it and this Raw was better than most and I for one am happy to see chairs used as weapons again. Its about time...

Bye Bye
