From a Shadow's Perspective - The Last of the Dinosaurs

Wow it’s been a few months since I last visited this place, but I am back, I am never too far away. I have been pretty much been told I may post whenever I wish, for as long as I wish. I have a lifetime ok to post whenever inspiration hits me. But the thing is I have no inspiration. I am a dinosaur and time has moved on without me. I mean almost 99 percent of the wrestlers I used to love to watch have either retired or died. The Von Erich’s are no more, Road Warriors are no more, Chris Adams is no more, Benoit no more (and may he burn in hell). Nikita Koloff is also no more, Dusty Rhodes is no more, The Four Horsemen is no more, Lex Luger is no more, where the hell is the Rock and Roll express? I guess I am just too old to appreciate wrestling today. I can probably count on one hand the active wrestlers today that I still somewhat enjoy. I like Raven, the last real link to old school wrestling. I also like a tiny bit of Shark Boy, mostly because I like the name. I guess Ric Flair counts, he doesn’t wrestle much but he’s always on TV somewhere. Finlay is old school but honestly I don’t like him, he’s boring. So hmm, any old school wrestlers anyone seen out there? , ohh I almost forgot Cactus Jack is in TNA, Cactus is a god and should be treated as one, that’s all I have to say. But there has to be tones just they aren’t on TV anymore and they’re making a hundred bucks a show as compared to thousands from the 80s and 90s times. Oh I almost forgot all the old guys in TNA, Sting and Kevin Nash, Nash isn’t the same without Hall around. But that’s just outta the top of my head, I haven’t paid much attention to TNA for a while. Anyone else seen any other old schoolers out there? I mean I saw Ultimate Warrior years ago and he still somehow talked about being committed and blah blah blah, dude stop thinking you’re great and stop asking for too much money and be happy to get a job again. Same goes for Macho Man Randy Savage, you two have all but been erased off wrestling fans memories. Get back in the game and do something before it’s too late.

What I wouldn’t give for one more Abdullah the Butcher vs. Cactus Jack match, now there’s a blast from the past, or Funk vs. Cactus, or Dusty vs. Nikita, or Rock and Roll express vs. Midnight Express, Barry Windham vs. Lex Luger. Ahh guys I know all I ever talk about is the past, but that’s cause the past was just so much damn better! We are the best, we are the few, we are the dinosaurs and yes we may become extinct but when the world has moved on we’ll be remembered as myths and legends should be, with awe and fond memories. Don’t be too quick to move towards the future, cherish the past.

Anyway before I go, I want to again remind you all about my fantasy fed. You can find me everyday in one place only www.striketowers.com if you are a fan of wrestling, this is where you want to be, and you create your character and role-play against other fans. We’re going on our 12th year of existence without ever shutting down. No other fed can boast the same.

Well that’s all I got to say.
