Wow, it’s a surprise not many new posts have been written on this site in a long time. I’m still waiting for Mr. Saturday Night to post, but so far nothing. And let us not forget about D Ray Morton. What’s going on here? So Donald Trump now “owns” Monday Night Raw…..I don’t know what to say about this. It would appear as if Trump is good friends with Vince and this might work for awhile. But in the end I’m sure it won’t last very long. As far as mainstream media goes on this “sale,” most know it’s a storyline and won’t be reporting on it. That won’t bode well with McMahon nor the USA Network that want ratings to go through the roof and beat out the other cable channels during the summer. And by the way, do you really think Trump will be on week after week? I highly doubt it, so that means there will still need to be a new General Manager of Raw to compensate for Trump not always being on the show. My beat would be for Ric Flair…. It wasn’t such a bad idea to put the belt back around Randy Orton’s waist. I was surprised at the last pay per view that he actually lost it. But now all is right with the world and he is once again champ. The only problem is we have to see another Orton vs. HHH match at the Bash. Been there, done that. I want something different!! I have to believe the fans do as well. Now Orton just needs to get rid of Priceless. Why would I say that? The run-ins by them are getting old to witness. They need to move on with their own thing. Of course once they do that, they will disappear into oblivion and another tag team will vanish from the federation as many others have already done. Oh well, I always considered them mid-card workers from the outset. With the Marine 2 coming out this fall, the WWE will undoubtedly push Dibiase to be a face so the movie gets a better dvd purchase turnout. With that being the case, he will probably get a slight push up to upper mid-card status for awhile. After that, who knows what will happen to him. To me, it would be a great idea to bring in his father, The Million Dollar Man to manage him and help him along once they decide to split him from Rhodes. Maybe the federation will read this and use the idea, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did just that. Speaking of Priceless, is there be any doubt that they will lose the match to the Colon’s at the Bash? Let me see, the crystal ball says they will win. Orton with gold and Priceless with gold, and Legacy holds some credibility in the WWE at least for awhile. I liked the match between Jericho and Mysterio and having it as the first bout of the night was a great idea on Raw. The crowd was hot throughout the entire thing, and with Jericho trying to take the sacred mask off of Mysterio is getting ingenious. Now there will be a mask vs. title match at the next PPV. I remember when Rey lost the mask back in WCW (bad idea) during a tag match between the Outsiders, so it’s no surprise what he looks like, and my first inclination is he will get the title back from Jericho-I hope. The ECW Scramble match at the Bash better have Tommy Dreamer come out on top. The man has had to endure years of nothing and to have him lose so soon would be a travesty. CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy for the Bash is set as well. It will be a good match I am sure, I am probably one of few people that want to see Punk win. He is under-rated as a performer and he needs to have a long reign to prove he has what it takes as a champ. His last run was way too short, so I hope this run is much, much longer…I am crossing my fingers. Does anyone even really care about this “feud” between Dolph Ziggler and Khali? I know I don’t. And also what happened to Kozlov, did I fall asleep and he fell off the face of the earth? I want my TNA Slammiversary!! I can see why TNA tapes their shows many episodes in advance (budgets and all), but I don’t have to like it. The following are just some of the matches for this PPV on June 21st: KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH FOR THE TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Suicide vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Alex Shelly vs. Chris Sabin (Detroit Tigers star Curtis Granderson will present the X Championship to the winner) TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Champions Team 3D vs. Beer Money, Inc It doesn’t matter to me how any of these end, I just want something new so I don’t fall asleep on an early Sunday evening again. Besides that, it’s Father’s Day and I deserve a great PPV. That’s it for now, lets hope more columnists post to TWNP soon, it’s lonely around here… That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time….
