Rundown of The Bash and RawWorld Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy-Good match, I have to believe this is the ever slow heel turn for Punk after cheating to get disqualified in the match, he did lose but didn't lose the title. Hardy went tazz on Punk, but in the end he didn’t win the title again. WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H-Damn fine match and Orton won it. They could have gotten along without Priceless getting involved at the end. It was a pretty enjoyable match up until then. The writers have to come up with something different then having Priceless interfere all the time in these matches. Course if they did that, then what would Rhodes and Dibiase have to do? ECW Championship Scramble Match Tommy Dreamer vs Christian vs Jack Swagger,vs Mark Henry and vs Finlay-Thankfully Tommy Dreamer is still the champion. It was a very unique way to end the match by having all the guys try to pin Dreamer at the same time and have time run out. I still can’t figure out why Henry is in this run for the championship. He may be big, but that doesn’t mean the man can wrestle. He’s horrible. Fairly decent match. Women's Champion Melina vs. Michelle McCool-McCool is the champion. Not going to say anything else about this match, ugh… Intercontinental Championship vs. Mask: Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio-The only way it could have ended with Mysterio becoming the champ again. Even though his mask was ripped off by Jericho, he had one on underneath. Damn fine match. The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler- I’m not sure why these two had a spot on the PPV cause neither one does much for the federation. With interference by Kane, Ziggler wins the match. Looks like Kane has returned to have a feud with Khali. There are worse things to witness I guess. Unified Tag Team Championship-It turned into a triple threat tag match with Edge and Jericho coming out to join in the match. It’s unfortunate that while the Colons and Priceless came out, the crowd was dead for their entrances to the ring. Just goes to show you that Tag Team matches in the WWE are dead to the world. But getting to the match, Edge speared Carlito and pinned him in the middle of the ring. So another “non-tag team” in the federation are the champions. Vince is burying this division. I don’t care if Edge and Jericho are champs, they aren’t a tag team and shouldn’t have won it. The Miz vs. John Cena-Miz tapped out. Did you really expect Cena to lose to the Miz? I was hoping he would, but Miz has awhile to go before he wins against Cena seeing as how Vince loves Cena and the merchandise money he gets from the guy. I hear Lillian Garcia will be ending her tenure with the WWE when her contract expires sometime this year. She was a hell of a singer and an all around great talent. Good luck in your new marriage and whatever career path you seek. Monday night saw a mini draft take place and the return of the Animal of sorts. He was the special host for the night and he assigned a match for Orton to be taking on 3-guys in a gauntlet match-the 3 being Evan Bourne (about time he comes to Raw), Jack Swagger (never did wrestle Orton), and the final opponent was big gorilla Mark Henry (he did wrestle Orton, so this must mean he is a face now) By the way, Henry pinned Orton. Now that Jericho and Edge are the Unified Tag Team Champions, they can be on any show in the federation. I know I was perplexed a little bit when they won the belts, but this might just be a good idea. This division might just get a boost from these experts in the ring. Lets hope this is so, because if this doesn’t help the division, nothing will. Of course what would help is more tag teams to help it along as well. Much as I hate to say it, the Miz is putting on a good showing for himself in matches. It’s good to see the WWE giving these young guys some airtime on the television. MVP, Evan Bourne, and John Morrison are also included in this short list of up and comers. They need young talent to get over to help the product stay fresh and now is the time for it to happen. I have tried to keep an open mind about the women’s division, but none of their matches have done a darn thing for me. I watched Monday night and couldn’t help but notice that the crowd was once again dead for the match. This division needs an overhaul meaning they need to put some better wrestlers in the ring that can actually put on a good show and not just look good in the face. Looks can only take you so far, and truth be told I think the fans are finally seeing this. Big Show vs. Kofi Kingston the US Champion, hmmm. Kofi put up a valiant effort, but in the end they both lost. It was a double count out. I don’t understand it myself. It was almost as if I was watching a WCW episode again with that ending. The guest host for next Monday Night Raw will be Ted Dibiase, Sr. I will close my article by sending my condolences to the families of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, and comedian Fred Travalena. May they all rest in peace and our hearts go out to your families. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time….
