Ramblings from a wrestling fan presents:

Back To The Future The Next Generation Clones

What will happen in the near future for the WWE its top stars have been used over and over again in repetitive matches that the fans have started to second guess creative at PPV's. But as you'll see in my humble opinion it seems to be creating replacements rather than fresh ideas and characters.

Sometime next year we expect Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to retire (The upcoming tours of the UK seem evidence enough). So who is available to step up to the mark or break the glass ceiling, lets take a look..........

John Morrison

The young Mr Hennigan appeal to the lady fans of the WWE is straight out of the early nineties, Heartbreak kid cocky flamboyant character. But Morrison can back it up solidly in the ring. His undeniable in ring ability and his HBK like selling should cement him a long future in the wrestling world. Between HBK and the man once known as Johnny Nitro, they put a new meaning on dying in the ring. Following success as a Tag Team Champion with The Miz (another promising talent) he's career path is a near mirror image of HBK's so therefore should be breaking the glass ceiling sooner rather than later.

Dolph Ziggler

Zigglers natural ability, egotistical attitude and blond hair is a photocopy of the late great Curt Hennig( known in WWF/E as Mr Perfect). his in-ring presence and technical ability is second to none. with a few good story lines he could go far as his series of matches with Rey Mysterio showed and his upcoming feud with the above mentioned John Morrison can only be good for Nick Nemeth.

Evan Bourne

The artist formerly known as Matt sydal is one other the freshest talents WWE has contracted right now. If creative can come up with the right story lines and some good opposition he has a fantastic future ahead of him. His in-ring skill are highly innovative and dangerous his idol seeming to be Rey Mysterio. What a promising future he has as long as he can shake Hornswoggle of his coat-tails.

CM Punk

CM Punks Recent heel turn was one of the best played out and subtlety down in a long time. Its hard to hate such a good worker yet we do just like we do Chris Jericho. His mic skills are tremendous, fans hate him but are compelled to listen to him. As well as fantastic character skills Mr Money In The Bank backs it up with 10 years worth of experience his in-ring ability backs up everything he says.

The main gap left atop the WWE roster is The Undertaker. Who could possibly replace Mark Calloway in the ultimate monster heel role. Kane has been so misused over the years that he's not believable enough with the fans. his feud with the Great Khali has been almost embarrassing how sloppy the work is. The Great Khali eliminates himself from the running as he's so over as the comedy big man he wouldn't be believed as a heel. The Big Show falls into the same category as Kane, in that over the years the booking team in the WWE and WCW for that matter never quite new what to do with him. So that only really leaves Mark henry as a big man but his tag team run with M.V.P would need a miracle to see him turn heel. So it looks like when the Undertaker does retire we'll have to leave the big monster heel role to Rest In Peace........... Until Next Time.
