Greetings once again sports fans, this is Howard Cosell and your watching wide World of Sports.

Somebody once said something like “Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery”...well I'm flattered. Nuff said!

So where to begin...I notice once again that people are either bashing the womens division or simply just not talking about them. I still can't understand how anyone can possibly not enjoy watching beautiful women in sexy ring attire beating the hell out of each other. Maybe I'm weird or something but I think that these girls do a great job of wrestling. Hell they are better than some of the so called superstars and take just as many bumps as any other wrestler. They have to do all that and still not get their hair stepped on! Gail Kim and Melina are a great pair of wrestlers and so are all the rest. Also its a much needed break from some of the men in their wrestling panties. Men should not wrestle in panties. Ring attire needs to be policed much better than it currently is. Of course the WWE does have to cater to its tremendous gay audience and I suppose that there aren't many of them complaining about men in panties but for me it's just much more watchable when the men wear a little more clothing. Remember Hillbilly Jim? Could you picture him in Orton's pants. If you can then you need therapy. I'm just sayin...

While we're on the subject of Randy Orton I'm gonna take a break from my usual Orton bashing and give Randy some props. In his role as the number one heel on Raw Randy has come up short most of the time but I am beginning to be less irritated by him in recent weeks. The feud with him and Kofi is taking shape and is a welcome change from the usual Orton antics. Randy has no business wrestling HHH or Cena ever again and is much better suited going up against people like Kofi. I have also bashed Kofi in the past and have regrets about it now. He is much improved and as I mentioned last week he has done a lot of work on his character and now comes off in a much better way. In the match on this weeks Raw Kofi showed a lot of spirit in the face of the assault by Orton's goons Dibiase and Rhoades and still tried to face Randy himself. He lost of course but did a good thing for his character and also boosted Randy's heel heat to a pretty impressive level. The fans were none too pleased at Orton and thats the whole idea. I never bought into the heat between Randy and HHH or between Randy and anybody else for that matter but I am actually interested in this rivalry. I still think that WWE is wasting good talent by continuing to use Rhoades and Dibiase as Randy's little bitch boys but hey, what do I know? I've only been watching wrestling for 42 years.

John Cena beat up Carlito...whoopee...who cares. I do like the way that Carlito had a lot of attitude and told Cena off in the ring but for what??? anyway Sheamus showed up and did nothing also so basically that whole episode was a waste of teevee time. Same with the whoopin Sheamus gave to Santino. Why Santino? Wouldn't it have been better if they had given Sheamus a real opponent to pummel so we could have at least thought that maybe, just maybe, Cena will lose to Sheamus. I said it last week and I will say it again. WWE has a real opportunity to make this a memorable rivalry and to develop a real future superstar with this Sheamus and I really hope that they dont eff this up. If I was going to use this weeks Raw to push a title match I think I could have done a much better job than that. Really I could!

Mark Henry got a win over Miz and it was fun to watch. Henry is another wrestler who has shown tremendous improvement over the past few months and has beefed up his ring style to include more than just strength moves. He is also a lot faster and a lot less annoying. Miz also has steadily improved his character and his ring work. Honestly I personally believe that the way he is in the ring is just the way he is always. I really don't think he is acting at all but hey, the boy has been very successful and more power to him. I hate him just like I'm supposed to so good job Miz. Keep it up man.

Now on to the DX and Jerishow situation. I really don't know where they are going with this angle but internet speculation has it that Show has a bad knee and DX is going to relieve them of their tag titles. I think this will be a good move in that there is little to no charisma between Show and Jericho and they are infinitely better in singles competition. HHH and Michaels have pretty much played out their singles careers so logically they are much more entertaining as a duo. I can foresee actual interesting tag matches with this combination of characters and despite all the DX haters out there they are funny AND talented so why not also be champs? The two on one match between DX and Jerishow next week will obviously not go off as a two on one cuz we all know Show will be at ringside again and the prediction I'm gonna make is a victory by Jericho via Big Shows interference which will lead us to the PPV and a victory by DX followed by many many crotch chops and green fireworks. I have been wrong before but not this time...maybe.

Verne Troyer looks sick and weirder than usual so I hope the little guy isn't on the brink of death. He looks like he is.

Bye Bye
