 Winter's Storm

Tis the season to be jolly, unless of course you wasted your time watching this past Monday’s-3 hour Raw which was a waste of time-show. Did you notice how the host Dennis Miller didn’t seem to want to be there? Having the Slammy Awards for this show didn’t seem to work for higher ratings either. To say the WWE is in a slump is an understatement. So needless to say, I am looking forward to January and the possibility of a new Monday Night War between TNA and the WWE.

Something has to be done and I am hoping this will be it. What we are witnessing in the WWE right now is nothing worth watching. They are trying something new with having Sheamus as WWE Champion on Raw, will this work? Nope. Why do I say this? He wasn’t hyped enough and they put the title on him way too soon. They did this with other titles by putting them on Santino and Kofi too soon as well and didn’t learn their lessons from those examples. So don’t worry, Sheamus won’t have the title very long, I guarantee it. He may be really good friends with HHH, but ratings are what will ultimately rule in this “fantastic” idea of the writers. The last quarter ratings for the show have been down and that has been when Sheamus has been on. So, in the end, he will lose the title quickly. Yippee, another John Cena run….

The idea of Hulk Hogan in TNA to me wasn’t a smart one at first, but now that I have heard what the storylines might just be, I have my hopes up. I won’t reveal what the storyline might be, but it sounds good. I will tune in to this show instead of the WWE cause I want something different on Monday to watch then what I am seeing right now. Lets hope the year of 2010 will be the renewal all of us fans will finally see in the pro wrestling industry.

There is only so much I can say about the WWE and how bad it is right now. Hell, it has been bad for a long time. Writing these articles and complaining about the product I see before me brings me down and I know it brings the readers down as well. With only a few weeks before the end of 2009, I will be going on hiatus until the middle of January to see how the industry might react in the beginning of January. If this possible new “Monday Night War” is a success, then there will be many articles to come, if it doesn’t do a damn thing for the industry, this article might just be doomed. I am crossing my fingers for a better year in 2010 and a new outlook by all the writers of both federations. So my loyal readers, I bid you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yea-cade!!!(Year/decade)

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time…..
