Pro wrestling, sports entertainment, it doesn’t really matter how you slice it, it’s all the same. If the fans don’t like you as a “character” they won’t care for you as a wrestler. Hogan and Eric Bischoff are turning things around in TNA and everyone needs to show what they have or get out. If you can’t speak on the microphone and also back it up with some wrestling abilities, you may as well leave. It looks as if the Hulkster and Eric are running the show and the ratings have gone up again with their help. Getting a 1.9 may not seem like much, but if they keep climbing they will be a force to reckon with. Right now I doubt McMahon is worried, but it sounds as if TNA will be moving to Monday nights starting in March. If they are smart, they won’t go directly head to head with Raw to start things off. Start an hour earlier than Raw and have the beginning of the second hour a must see so no one tunes over to the USA network. It would have to be something major for the die hard Raw fans to stick around for, otherwise TNA’s second hour would crash and burn real fast. Only time will tell what the ultimate outcome will be for this the possible second coming of the Monday Night Wars in pro wrestling.I guess Vince was to say the least quite mad that Ric Flair joined up with TNA. I don’t know why he would be that mad, if you don’t use a guy like Flair who wants to wrestle and be a part of the organization you have to expect him to go somewhere he will be used. Flair is still a name that garners respect in the wrestling world and to not use him is crazy. It will only help AJ Styles’ career in the long run. Vince, you screwed up, move on, there’s nothing you can do about it now. I am hoping with the move to Monday night TNA will make WWE step up and improve their product and the pro wrestling product as a whole for all of us fans to enjoy. Chris Jericho and Shane Helms were busted for alcohol intoxication in a public place on January 28th in the early morning. Now Shane was pulled from the Royal Rumble (who knows if the incident was the reason) and Chris isn’t talking about it. At least they weren’t driving their own vehicles and were in a taxi cab when this incident occurred. More high exposure celebrities have been busted for way worse things than this. Who hasn’t gone out and got stupid with friends? At least they didn’t hop in their cars and go off and cause an accident. They were probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time when all of this happened. They probably should have conducted themselves a bit more carefully then say the regular Joe Blows out in the world, but in the end these guys were just letting off some steam and had a few drinks after work, I bet there are many a reader out there that has done the same exact thing but instead of calling a taxi got into their own vehicle and drove home. At least Matt Hardy had the right idea and not return to where this was taking place and he didn’t have anything happen to him. My advice would be to just watch yourselves a bit more fellas, nuff said on that subject. The Royal Rumble has come and gone. Christian thankfully won his match against Jackson. It would seem to me as if Christian is the man in ECW. I’m hoping he keeps the title for quite awhile. I just can’t see who would be the next ECW Champion so to keep it on Christian is the only choice. The Miz once again keeps his title and with a clean pin at that against MVP. Not sure what the plan is for the Miz next, but it’s good to see him getting clean wins on opponents. It wasn’t much of a surprise to see Randy Orton fall to Sheamus. With Rhodes interfering to cause a DQ and Dibiase nowhere to be found at the time, there will be repercussions more then just a quick beat down that happened at the Rumble. I am willing to bet they will set up a match between Orton and Dibiase for WM. For Rhodes, I am afraid he may just end up going to mid card status and get lost in the shuffle for awhile, oh well. Mickie James is the new Women’s WWE Champion….yawn…. I could have written the Mysterio vs. Undertaker match myself…of course Undertaker beat Rey Rey. I didn’t have any doubts as far as that was concerned. Bet the farm there will be another Michaels vs. Taker match at WM. The surprise of the night was the return of Edge to the Rumble. I didn’t think he was well enough to come back to wrestling. Lets hope he isn’t coming back too soon. With HBK super kicking HHH out of the ring it won’t bode well for DX come Monday night. Don’t worry, just because HBK didn’t win the Rumble, he will still be going against Taker at WM. They just have to feed us this for awhile so that DX can break up. Now as far as Edge is concerned, I am worried he is back too soon. We have seen it before, but if he carries a lighter load for awhile he may just be okay. I can see a Jericho vs. Edge fight real soon, maybe even for the title? That would be a great feud in my eyes, just do it right WWE is all I am asking. With another Rumble in the history books and now we are on the road to Wrestlemania. The predictions will fly and I won’t be the only one guessing what some of the matches will be, so here I go…. Undertaker vs. HBK Edge vs. Jericho HHH vs. Sheamus Mickie James vs. well who cares really…. Christian vs. William Regal That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
