I may as well jump on the bandwagon and offer up my opinions on the thought of a new Monday Night War. If done right, it will lead to a much better product for both the WWE and TNA. Competition between two differing entities has always lead to better things. This should be no different. Now as I said it needs to be done right in order for it to be worth spending our time with. Right now it would appear as if Hogan wants to promote the younger guys with using the veterans in feuds with one another. If this idea stays the course, TNA may just take away some of the viewers from the WWE. But we all know that the WWE is a powerhouse when it comes to promotion and their ratings will probably always beat TNA. It’s a fact that we all have to deal with. The only way for TNA to beat WWE in ratings is to do something that has never been done before. Who knows what that would be right now, but from a fan’s viewpoint it had better be jaw dropping. The WWE has the stars and TNA has some of their has-been stars. That idea won’t get the extra fans to watch TNA. As a fan of both shows, I am tired of the WWE and have been for quite some time now. I have stressed this in many articles and probably will continue to do so for as long as it takes for the federation to draw me back to them. This will also have to be something extraordinary to lead me back to them. Neither one of these shows has given me any reason to watch one over the other, so I am hoping come March, they step up and help me make that decision. TNA vs. WWE, who will win this new Monday Night War? Is the guest host idea of the WWE getting old? Would it be better to have a General Manager and guest host run Monday Night Raw? Who would the WWE get to be the General Manager? The idea has been in the works for The Rock to be the new G.M. He’s about the only one I would tune in to see. He has the charisma and the attitude to do it. Maybe Stone Cold would do it for me as well, but The Rock would drive in viewers. TNA has a lot of work to do to get more viewers and with Hogan leading the way, I believe they have a good chance of making a dent in the predominant WWE Raw Monday viewership. The answer remains to be seen…. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
