Needless to say I am not surprised that TNA went back to Thursday nights. The ratings sucked while on Monday night so the move had to happen. So much for Hulk Hogan’s idea of moving the show to a new night. He hasn’t shown me much while he’s been in the federation. I realize he is trying to give the young guys more air time, but it just isn’t working out the way he has planned. As I had said, the juggernaut that is the WWE is too powerful until TNA can get their act together. So far that hasn’t happened yet. Moving the show to Monday night seemed like a good idea at the time but with poor storylines and bringing in past stars that no one really cares about it was inevitable that the ratings have faltered. Lets hope the move to Thursday will help the show in the long run. Can’t say Monday’s show this week was really worth it. The end of the show was just awful as well. And speaking of awful, all I have to say is the word, Raw. The women’s division match was probably worse then in previous weeks. I never thought it could get worse, but it did. The same goes for Mark Henry and his possible re-emergence of Sexual Chocolate. As Roddy Piper said in They Live, “That’s like putting perfume on a pig.” The man can’t wrestle and his promos are just plain painful to watch. The only reason he is around is because of his size, that’s it. If the only reason to have Chris Jericho back on Raw is to team up with Miz to go after the Unified Tag Belts, I will be extremely disappointed. I have always like Jericho, watching his matches as well as his promos. I say give the Heavyweight belt to him instead of John Cena. The rumor that Batista will leave is still hanging around, so a summer feud between Jericho and Cena (yes I know they have feuded before) would suit me just fine. But lets face reality here, the writers won’t give us this feud. They don’t know what they will do. I highly doubt it will be HHH because he will be filming a movie, HBK is retired, Undertaker is on Smackdown, Mark Henry is in no way a contender for the belt, Evan Bourne is still a mid-carder at best (unfortunately). The only other person I could see going against Cena besides Jericho is Morrison. But then again they might just have him beat on the Miz for the U.S. Championship. The fact remains this, Jericho is the only one they can have to go against Cena for a summer feud. But will the Powers That Be be wise enough to see it?? Smackdown has Swagger as champ and they should keep him as such for the time being. My hope is that they will give Christian a chance to go against the champ for the summer. I wouldn’t mind seeing that occur. They don’t seem as if they will give Kane a chance anymore and even though Kofi Kingston has improved dramatically over the past year, he won’t get the chance except maybe for the I-C title. While Swagger is champ, CM Punk will stay out of contention, I would believe that this thing between he and Mysterio is over, but is it? They do still have to reveal the mysterious hooded man that interferes on behalf of Punk when he is out wrestling. (possibly Joey Mercury). So the person that needs to have a worthwhile feud with Swagger is Captain Charisma himself. He proved he could do it in TNA, I just hope he can convince everyone else (McMahon) that he would be a great champion. What will the summer hold for both the WWE and TNA? Will any of the storylines even be worth the time to watch them? Doesn’t the bottom have to drop sometime here and make things start a new? I want something to watch but not the same old crap. I am tired of it all. Maybe I should take the summer off and not even look at any wrestling until the September. That way when I come back from my break, something should be new, shouldn’t it? That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
