Well, as some of you may remember me from before, I'm back. If you don't remember me, look through the archives and take a peek. Typically, most of my columns will not be based on one event or topic. I will cover a number of random topics in my columns, and on certain occasions, I will write something that is on one topic.
First, I want to state what a dipshit I think AJ Styles is. I read recently that he claims to have been "pissed off" and "didn't understand" losing the TNA title to Rob Van Dam. I'm sorry that he has a problem seeing the significance of this whole ECW-based angle in TNA. For one thing, it helps show TNA that there was a smaller company before them that conquered the odds and became a success. And trust from someone who was there, the old ECW Arena, yes the Bingo hall - is the most fun I have ever had at a wrestling event. The ECW angle in TNA has brought back memories. Great memories of a company that only lacked the proper financial backing. Had ECW had that in their hey-day, they would still be around, and in my opinion, would be the top company. As for Styles, he needs to stop thinking he's as great as Flair is; they're only teamed up on tv. And #2, he needs to realize RVD has already done more for the business/sport of wrestling than AJ can ever hope to.
As for Flair and his new group, Fortune is a slap in the face of every past member of the 4 Horseman, even Steve McMichael. I'm sorry, I don't see those 4 as the top heels in the company, and certainly not capable of carrying things as a top tier heel stable. I must agree with TNA's former female Steve Austin, OBD; what the hell happened to TNA's Knockout division? Angelina, Velvet, Taylor Wylde, and even Madison are doing ok, but the rest look just awful. That is Hogan & Bischoff's doing. Thanks, guys. Kill the one women's division that was actually good. I was impressed with the Shannon Moore/Jeff Hardy match on Impact, but was disappointed that Moore was answering an open challenge as a part of the match. Too much hype for not a big enough star. Now onto the WWF - yes even this many years later, I still refuse to call it WWE. Nexus is getting stale now. I'm tired of watching the beatdowns of hapless schmucks, and then they run like girls when the odds are even. Word is that HHH is supposed to be their Den Mother or something to that effect when he returns; well, hurry up, son. I'm getting tired of these no-talent asswipes running the show. Barrett is ok, and Justin Gabriel's 450 is cool. Other than that, they have the combined talent of Kamala in an Ultimate X match. The body is dope, but why should I care that Melina returned last week? Aside from her ring entrance, she's not all that impressive to me. I miss the women's days of Victoria, Trish, Lita, Jazz, Miss Jacky. You know, tough women, that still looked good. Back to RVD for a moment. When they showed him after Abyss took him backstage and used Janice on him, is it just me, or did that look like a murder scene in a low budget movie? TNA is rocking with their pushing the envelope on tv violence lately. I love it. And finally for this time - I read that the HOF class for next year is supposed to be mostly WCW names, since Wrestlemanis is in Atlanta. I love that idea, since it helps a few names that otherwise wouldn't, get in. I'm going to leave a list of names here that I believe are worthy of the Hall for Wrestlemania. Next column, I'll do a much more in-depth look at each name, and WHY I see them deserving. Hall of Fame: Rick & Scott Steiner Terry Gordy & Steve Williams The Great Muta Ron Simmons Ravishing Rick Rude Arn Anderson Lex Luger The Road Warriors Vader Brian Pillman The Freebirds I said WCW names, so yes I left Owen out.
So that's it for this week. As I said, next time I'll list why each of those names belong, in my mind.
Football is slowly coming, so enjoy those pre-season games this weekend...........................
