Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a message earlier today on Twitter wishing Roman Reigns a happy birthday. In his message, Rock makes a bold prediction.

“Big birthday love to my cousin @WWE @WWERomanReigns Stay humble & hungry. Proud of you. #FutureWWEChamp,” he wrote.

Reigns thanked fans for their birthday wishes, writing on Twitter, “Thanks for all the Birthday shoutouts, we’re going to celebrate by serving up justice and owning #WWERedDeer tonight!”

DX Working Weekend Live Events

As noted earlier, John Cena will not be at this weekend’s Raw live events. In his place, Shawn Michaels and The New Age Outlaws will be appearing at the events. Michaels noted on Twitter that he will just be accompanying the Outlaws to the ring. Ryback vs. Chris Jericho will headline the events.

Michaels commented about appearing at the WWE live events, writing on Twitter, “Headed back to TX for a quick turnaround, pack, etc, then on the road w/ @WWE. Hooking up w/ @WWERoadDogg & @RealBillyGunn ! #DX #DXRoadTrip”

Fast 6 Continues to Dominate at the Box Office

Fast 6 starring The Rock and Vin Diesel drew an estimated total of $38.2 million on Friday to rank #1 at the box office.

The Rock tweeted on the success of the movie, “You’ve made FAST 6 Universal’s biggest box office opening of all time.”

Fast 6 is blowing away other movie releases, “Hangover Part III,” which has drawn an estimated $14.5 million thus far. Also, a new family movie release, “Epic,” has drawn $9.4 million.

The full weekend estimates will be released Sunday and official totals will be released in the middle of next week.

WWE Counts Down The 10 “Most Ridiculous” Intros, Barry Darsow Discusses His Many Personas

- WWE has released a video ranking the top ten “most ridiculous” intros ever created by the sports-entertainment organization. This countdown includes intros for WWF Wrestling Challenge while Bret Hart and Yokozuna reigned supreme, WWF Livewire, the inaugural SummerSlam in 1988 when The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage) collided with The Mega Bucks (“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant), and WWF Superstars from 1990 as Ultimate Warrior beams lasers out of his eyes while hoisting the WWF Championship.

WWE labeling the intros as “ridiculous” has garnered a largely negative response from commenters of the video, with the top-ranked remarks stating “All these are still better than Raw’s current intro” and “There’s nothing ‘ridiculous’ about any of these, except that they’re all ‘ridiculous good’ and beloved by many long time fans.”

- According to WWE.com, Alicia Fox will appear at the Sports Center of Connecticut 784 River Rd. (Route 110) Shelton, Connecticut, on Monday, June 3, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

- Barry Darsow, who has portrayed such characters as Demolition Smash, The Blacktop Bully, Pain Stewart and Repo Man throughout his lengthy wrestling career, joins Colt Cabana on the Art of Wrestling this week as he discusses his many personas. The audio podcast is available here.

Jacqueline Interested In A WWE Return?

After being profiled this week by the official WWE website, Jacqueline posted some fan messages on her Twitter account encouraging the sports-entertainment organization to her bring back to the Divas division fold. One message stated, “WWE should bring @JackieMooreTx back! She’s a phenomenal wrestler, I think she might be exactly what the Divas Division needs.”

Jacqueline then wrote “maybe” when asked whether she would return to WWE.

Meanwhile, Ohio Valley Wrestling trainer Rip Rogers showed his support for the former WWE Diva and TNA Knockout, tweeting, “There will never b a diva as good a wrestler as Jackie Moore cuz she learned to work the territory system against men and women- she was a bad ass athlete and great wrestler who could really whoop ass and is still quite the looker!!!”

Ivelisse Velez Talks About Her TNA Tryout, NXT/FCW, More

Ivelisse Velez was recently interviewed by Greg and Patrick O’Dowd of The Greg DeMarco Show. Here are some highlights.

Her character traits: “I am a very assertive person … in a man’s world they’re not very used to that. … A woman being assertive and not being walked over. … Maybe it came from that, I don’t know.”

Her release from the WWE: “It was a very hard experience in the sense that a lot of the things that were on TV or things that didn’t make TV that probably should have. … I’m very grateful that opportunity, but I feel, honestly, that it could have portrayed in a little bit more realistic way of how things really happened. … they never showed the diagnosis of my leg, then I ended up looking like a wimp. … Nobody ended up knowing the gravity of the injury to my leg. … I was going to continue … Doctor [had to tell me] that I can’t continue or they have to tear my leg off. … You tell them because I am not going to, because I’ll rip my leg off and then I can’t have a career.”

Her FCW/NXT experience: “It’s really frustrating to hear that [that you're ready to be on television] and then you don’t [get used on television]. … That was mostly the hardest part. … You feel so ready but it’s a whole different ballgame—it’s not just having the skills or the talent or the look. You can have I all but there’s so much more to it there. … We’re all human and sometimes people make mistakes, and people sometimes mix personal with business and you get the backlash of that. It took me a long time to register what happened. … It’s tough.”

Her TNA Gut Check tryout: “Definitely it was a surprise to me as well. … In my head I thought there was no reason for me not to. I felt that Lei D’Tapa was great, too, and she has a lot of potential. At least I thought I was ready now. … They would have benefited from signing us both. … I’m happy for Lei D’Tapa, she’s a great girl, she’s humble. … I’m sure everyone felt like TNA could’ve benefited from both of us. … The whole thing, they were really good at that—at all moments, we never knew. … I had no clue what was going to happen at any moment. … Everyone knows both of these girls should be here. … That was my real reaction, I was just speechless. … When I heard that crowd…I feel like, equally, we both created that with our hard work into the match. … It wasn’t just her! … And then I didn’t even make it to the ring. … I was like “damn, really?” … From wrestlers and fans, it was a big reaction. A lot of people agreed that both of us had a lot to bring to the table. The only difference is I could bring it now. … I’m ready now.”

Ivelisse also talked about her return to TNA, going back home to Puerto Rico to win a championship for WWL, being a member of Shine Wrestling’s Valkyrie & her upcoming match for Shine Wrestling at Shine 10 and the origin of her “Huntress” persona.

Lawler will be teaming with Dory Funk Jr., Johnny Magnum and Jessica “Power-House” Hill to face Cory “Wild” Weston, Quinton “Drop-Back” Hitchcock, Romero Youngblood and Hollywood Heather. Prior to his match, Dory Funk Jr. will present Lawler the Funking Conservatory’s highest honor, The “Fighting Heart” Award.

- WWE published an article remembering the WCW Hall of Fame, which was established in May of 1993. Lou Thesz was the first ever inductee into the Hall of Fame, which was quietly dropped in 1995.

Other inductees included Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Antonio Inoki, Angelo Poffo, Terry Funk, Wahoo McDaniel, Verne Gagne, Ole Anderson, Big John Studd, Ernie Ladd, Mr. Wrestling II and Eddie Graham, who was the first posthumous inductee.

- WWE Hall of Famer “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase has launched a brand new website for his “Heart of David Ministry” at HeartOfDavidMinistry.com.

- WWE Chief Financial Officer George Barrios will participate in the Citi Global Consumer Conference for investors on May 29th in New York, NY. The live audio webcast of Barrios’ remarks are located at ir.corporate.wwe.com.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest flick earned $6.5 million in late night shows last night and is expected to take in more than $100 million through Monday according to MTV News. The Hangover Part III is expected to earn $80 million in the same time frame.

“While ’6′ usually translates to franchise fatigue, this series doesn’t play by the rules, and Universal has done a great job beefing up each installment,” Exhibitor Relations senior box-office analyst Jeff Bock said of Fast 6 to MTV News.

“In ‘Fast Five,’ they added Dwayne Johnson and in ’6′ they brought Michelle Rodriguez’s character back from the dead. Plus, instead of a car-racing series, ‘Fast & Furious’ has morphed into a heist-film franchise, extending its audience and lengthening its play-ability.”
