Biography
After competing in the 1976 Olympics, in the Heavyweight (+205 lb) class for
Judo, and coming third, Bad News Brown made his transition from Judo to
Pro-wrestling on October 23rd, 1977. Starting off with New Japan Pro-Wrestling,
under the guidance of Antonio Inoki and Kotetsu Yamamoto, and it was there that
Allen Coage became Bad News Allen. Wrestling there was, according to him a great
experience and a place he could always call home.
Moving to Calgary, where he wrestled for Stu Hart's Stampede, Bad News Brown
found himself up against the likes of Tom Billington and Owen hart, people he
still respects to this day. When Stampede was bought up, Coage, like the rest of
the harts moved to WWF, and was immediately placed in a feud with Roddy Piper.
However this did not sit well with Coage, as he as repeatadly made it known the
he, personally felt, unhappy and uncomfortable with the angle. Piper left soon
after, so the feud ended, and Coage was thrown right into a feud with jake
"The Snake" Roberts, as Coage said, one of the few that gave him
reason to stay with the WWF. Failure to live up to promises to him by Vince
McMahon, has cause trememdous amounts of "bad blood". Disappearing
from public view, nothing has been heard from Bad News Brown, til now. He is
currently working on a book (to be released around June) with inside stories,
from botht the world of judo and wrestling).
But dont look for Bad News Brown to ever step back into a ring, anytime soon, as
he said "After 22 years in the ring and both knees replaced it was time to
retire"
