Helped Hart Foundation defeat Demolition to win the WWF Tag Team titles at SummerSlam '91
Hawk left the WWF after LOD's SummerSlam '92 match against Money Inc. Animal followed shortly after.
Hawk appeared at tapings for Jim Crockett's WWN on January 28, 1994. Animal returned to competition in January 1996 after recovering from back problems. The two reunited at WCW Clash of the Champions XXXII on January 23, 1997, and requested a title shot against new WCW Tag Team champions Sting & Lex Luger.
Their WCW stint was a brief one, spending most of their time in a feud against Rick & Scott Steiner.
In a surprise to many fans, they returned to the WWF on Monday Night Raw to face the Headbangers.
Were involved in an extremely confusing double disqualification against Henry & Phineas Godwinn at the live WWF card I attended on June 27, 1997 in Salt Lake. Unless the double DQ was because of the Doomsday Device attempt broken up by the other Godwinn was the reason, I think that the Hart Foundation was supposed to attack both teams, but the match was ended too quickly. The ref never even signaled that the match was over.
Animal is the stronger of the two while Hawk is quicker and more agile.
