History: Steve McMichael was a star defensive lineman before coming on as an all-pro for the Chicago Bears during the 80's and 90's. Before he retired, McMichael was one of several NFL stars that showed up in the WWF to back up Lawrence Taylor in his feud against Bam Bam Bigelow of Ted Dibiase's Million Dollar Corporation. McMichael sat by McMahon and Lawler during commentary, and even decked Lawler once, causing the two to have to be seperated. After finishing his last season with the Green Bay Packers, Mongo started announcing on Nitro when the show hit the air in the late summer of 1995, and for TNT Sunday Night NFL as a color man. After Ric Flair made some harsh comments towards Debra, Mongo's wife, McMichael recruited Kevin Greene to take on the top two Horsemen, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair in a tag team match with Randy Savage as guest manager. After receiving a briefcase full of cash, Mongo turned on Greene, slamming him in the head with it, and joined the Four Horsemen, replacing Brian Pillman, who was injured in a car wreck, and signed with the WWF. Mongo showed poor wrestling skills at first, but improved quickly, using his "Mongo Spike" Tombstone Piledriver, and his football tackle as his primary moves. After his wife, Debra, turned on Mongo and joined forces with Jeff Jarrett, Mongo quickly garnered face heat from crowds, as the Horsemen feuded with Jarrett and Eddie Gurrero. The feud ended with Jarrett losing his US Title to Mongo after interference by Eddie Gurrero backfired. After Jarrett left the WCW, the Horsemen started feuding with the NWO, and in one of the greatest acts of treachery WCW has ever seen, Arn Anderson's replacment, Curt Hennig, turned on the group, and threatened to gulliotine Ric Flair's head in the cage door at War Games if Benoit and Mongo didn't throw in the towel. Mongo lost the US title the next night, due to being worn out in the War Games match, and being out wrestled by Curt Hennig. Mongo then began feuding with his wife, Debra again, except this time she enlisted the aid of Alex Wright, and Bill Goldberg. So far, Mongo's been the only person to ever lay out Goldberg, and he did it using a steal pipe backstage before a match at a pay per view. Goldberg ended up beating Mongo, and adding him to his win streak. McMichael began feuding with the British Bulldog, but suffered a broken arm, but wrestled anyway. The ref called the match after he decided McMichael couldn't continue. McMichael was out of the wrestling scene for a while, but made a huge return when he came to the aid of Chris Benoit, who was being attacked by Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat. This began the current return of the Four Horsemen. Mongo would come into the aid of Dean Malenko, after Malenko made a plea with Arn Anderson to reform the group, and Malenko gave Mongo a hand against the NWO.

Currently: As the big man of the Four Horsemen, Mongo has broken new ground in Horsemen lore after serving in two different versions of the group. Unfortunately, McMichael's last appearance on WCW TV was in the main event with Flair against Hogan and Nash. McMichael took a bucket full of bleach to the eyes. McMichael no showed some house shows, and is said to be at home dealing with personal problems.
