History: Owen Hart definitly made it everywhere, and anywhere he went in the wrestling business. He has the distincion of holding the Stampede North American title, and the IWGP Lightweight title at the same time. He may also hold the record for WWF title reigns with different partners. Owen Hart bursted onto the american wrestling scene during the late 80's as the Blue Blazer,a futuristic masked wrestler, who used high flying maneuvers, and made quite a splash with this newer style. Owen made waves for a while, before going to Japan, and having some legendary matched with Jushin Liger before he suffered a severe knee injury. Owen then returned to the WWF, as himself, and began as a face, with a more grounded attack. He then went heel by attacking his brother, Bret Hart, who was the most over face in wrestling at the time. Owen threw the towel in on Bret during a title match against Bob Backlund, and this started a huge war between the two which is probably the hallmark feud of the early 90's. The two fought it out, and Owen upset Bret with a win at Wrestlemania X. Owen went on to multiple tag title reigns with Jim Coronette as manager, and Yokozuna as a parnter, and the British Bulldog as a partner. Coronette left the group, and the two joined with Bret Hart, who turned heel after an I Quit match with Steve Austin. The New Hart foundation, with Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman, went to reak havock in the WWF until Bret Hart left the WWF in controversial circumstances in 1997. Owen was gone for a while ,but returned to feud with Shawn Michaels and HHH with the help of Ken Shamrock. Owen turned on Shamrock, and joined the NOD for a while, then partned with Jeff Jarret and Debra McMichael to win the WWF tag titles. They lost the titles to Kane and X-Pac, and Owen was scheduled to appear as the Blue Blazer against the Godfather during a match at the WWF's Over the Edge, when he tragically fell to his death when his harness wasn't properly hooked up. Owen was 33, and will be rememberd as one of the most dependable, and solid wrestlers to ever grace the industry.
