History: Sabu debuted in 1990 and wrestled mainly indy feds. He is the nephew of the Original Sheik. His first major title was one of the FMW tag titles, which he won with partner Horace Boulder, now known as Horace Hogan of NWO Black and White in WCW. Sabu wrestled in Japan and Mexico, and developed a very extreme highflying style which was highly influenced by the Original Tiger Mask. He helped put ECW on the map, and helped gain the promotion popularity with his insane style of moves. He feuded with Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko for the tag titles, along with partner Taz, and that feud led him into a feud with the Public Enemy, who borrowed his table crashes as part of their repetoire. During the feud, he broke his neck once, got powebombed off a top rope through Rocco ROck of Public Enemy and a table, and took other serious injuries. He missed the final match of the three way feud because of a date in Japan, and that pissed off his partner Taz, who would hold the grudge against him for the next three years. Sabu had a brief stint in WCW, then wrestled in Japan before coming back to ECW, where the fans missed him tremendously. He began his feud with Taz, which finally ended in spring of 1997, and continued as he went heel with his tag partner Rob Van Dam and manager Bill Alfonso. Sabu would defeat Terry Funk for the ECW heavyweight title, which he held before when he beat Shane Douglas in his first ever ECW match, and lost the belt in a three way match with Douglas and Funk in 97. He won the ECW tag titles, along with Rob Van Dam in 1998, and feuded with Van Dam for a short while for the ECW TV Belt. Sabu was given the FTW Belt, which Taz made, and feuded with him for the World title. After suffering a broken jaw before hand, Sabu fought valiantly, but lost to Taz anyway. The two shook hands at the end of the match. Sabu then later started feuding with Justin Credible. Tension started building between himself and Van Dam when he started teaming with Jerry Lynn, much to Sabu's dislike. Sabu went back to his old entrance of the lights going out, and became a major face again. He did lose to Justin Credible at Anarchy rulz though, despite Credible getting the biggest ass kicking of hiscareer. ECW fans are hoping for Sabu getting his revenge on Credible, and for a Van Dam, Lynn, Sabu three way dance somewhere in the future.
