History: After a terrific career as an Ultimate fighter in the UFC, Shamrock decided to get into a career where he could earn more of a guranteed living. After appearing as a guest on Monday Night RAW last year, Shamrock took on the task of being a special referee between Steve Austin and Bret Hart in a submission match. Shamrock's first match was against Vader, in a match he won, and also shattered one of Vader's sinuses. Shamrock continuously improved as a wrestler, with help from the Hart family, and became a force in the USA/Canda feud with the Hart Foundation. After the feud ended, and Bret Hart received his infamous screw job, Shamrock came out the next night on RAW before a Canadian crowd that once hated him, defended the Hart's and challenged Shawn Michaels to a title match. The two fought it out on RAW, but the most memorable confrontation was at a pay per view when Owen Hart returned to the WWF by interfering and throwing Michaels off the apron of the ring onto a table. Shamrock, after taking on Michaels and D-X, went after the Nation of Domination, and more specifically Rocky Miavia. The two had some great matches, and the feud grew when Shamrock enlisted the aide of former Nation member Ron Simmons, and Steve Blackman. Shamrock and Rocky fought it out at Wrestlemania this year. After the long feud with the Nation finally ended, Shamrock was given a title bout against Steve Austin on RAW, and this would be his last fight as a baby face in the WWF. After nearly beating Austin, Shamrock became a serious contender to the vacant IC title, which was held by Hunter Hearst Helmsley until an injury forced him to surrender it. Shamrock went on to win the belt in a tournament on RAW, beating X-Pac, Mankind and Steve Blackman. Shamrock then got involved in a feud with Val Venis and Billy Gunn of D-X. The three way feud centered around Ken Shamrocks "sister", as portrayed by a Houston, Texas Stripper. Venis made her a feature in one of his "films" and that fueled the feud even further. Shamrock lost the IC belt at St. Valentine's Day Massacre in a match with Val Venis, that had Billy GUnn as special ref. Shamrock continued to go after anyone that was fooling with his sister, including Golddust, and was involved in a four corners match at Wrestlemania for the WWF title. He then started a war with the Ministry when he demolished them while looking for Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie. When Shane McMahon took over the corporation, Shamrock stayed loyal to Vince, and got beaten up by the Corporation following an attack by the Ministry, which happend the week after Ryan Shamrock, his sister, was sacrificed on RAW following a beating. Shamrock's next big angle came after Ryan was long gone. He started going against the WWF newcomer Chris Jericho. Jericho regularly insulted Shamrock's ability to shootfight, but would run away in fear everytime Shamrock got close. Shamrock injured himself during this feud however, during a shoot with Mr. Hughes, Jericho's new bodyguard. He's been out of action for a while now, but some suspect he might have to retire from his injuries, or he may return to UFC and ultimate fighting.
