Just some random RAW thoughts for last night's episode:
Vickie Guerrero gets more heat than anybody else on WWE TV. It's amazing how the crowd reacts to her. WWE creative has even done their best to ruin her character with the whole "love triangle" thing, and yet her vile GM character still shines! She gets the right kind of heat too, not the "just go away" heat like X-Pac was famous for. Who could have guessed "Excuse Me!" would be the new catchphrase from WWE's Top Heel?
Kofi gets his first win in like a year and a half on Raw, and immediately buries the new draftee The Brian Kendrick. Oh well, who didn't expect Kendrick to get buried in mid-card hell?
The Santina saga continues......with a little help from Hornswoggle....enough said about that.
Matt Hardy channeling Cowboy Bob Orton uses his cast to defeat Goldust. Actually I always liked Bob Orton's use of the cast so maybe Matt is onto something. Shouldn't Goldust try to join Legacy as a second-generation wrestler?
MVP doing his best to move up to the main event level made a decent showing against Orton, unfortunately he's stuck in the middle of someone elses feud, and to make it worse the "someone else" is a McMahon. MVP becomes an afterthought in his first Raw match losing by DQ! I would like to see MVP move up, but have a feeling he'll be languishing in mid-card hell right there with Kofi and Kendrick soon enough.
Miz came out.....accomplished...um...nothing.
See, I told you WWE has Tag Teams.....just not very good ones. Actually the Colon's are beginning to solidify into a solid team, and slapping together Chavo and Jamie Noble isn't the worst idea....I'm glad to see that the "legitimate" tag team of Carlito and Primo won, but the Tag Teams division just seems like such a lost cause these days.
And your main event is Big Show vs. Batista. A main event that promises to move so slowwwww that time could possible move backwards..and just to make sure we don't have more than 1 clean finish on a show, let's have Batista win by Count Out.....Oh good John Cena came out...the end. What?
Raw didn't do much for me this week, and hasn't in a couple weeks now. To be honest, I've enjoyed "Superstars" on WGN more than Raw the last couple weeks. Oh well, at least HHH didn't involve himself in every angle this week.
