- Jerry Jarrett has secured the rights to the old NWA name, which is what the promotion will be known as. They have yet to announce the site of the first PPV, although sources close to the situation expect it to be held in a southeastern city, which is where the NWA name was strongest, and is territory where Jarrett is the most familiar. The question here is - in the long run, will it last? Are wrestling fans willing to pay $9.95 a week every month? Besides, this on top of the WWE's monthly PPV events. For it to even have a chance at all, Jarrett will need to acquire some well-known talent in order for the fans to be interest in watching. There's talk now of signing Scott Hall and Curt Hennig, who are rumored to have been released from the WWE just a couple days ago. There's also word that Jarrett would like Goldberg to be a part of it, since he is now a free agent after AOL/Time Warner bought out the remainder of his old WCW contract. However, early indications are showing that Goldberg is leaning more towards going to either Japan or the WWE.

- In case you haven't heard by now, there's a new wrestling promotion in the works, which is being spearheaded by legendary Memphis promoter, Jerry Jarrett. His son, Jeff Jarrett, will be assisting him in getting it off the ground. The odd thing is is that Jarrett isn't interested in a nationaly syndicated show right now. He's going straight to PPV. His idea is to run a weekly two hour show for $9.95 per show. It will be live every other week and taped on the off weeks. Jarrett finalized his deal with InDemand last week and is now scrambling to line up talent for the first live PPV, which is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 19.
