On with the rants

Hey Wrestling Fans!..

I Think if Vince McMahon plays his cards right and well has some common sense he would keep the wcw and wwf completely seperate. Try doing different things with WcW.

I have to admit that I am not too big on the WWF product. I think Vince has bitten off way too much this time. But you have to think. Why did he buy WCW? To rid of his competion? To get some good wrestlers cheaper than he would before? Another challenge? Or simply to see if he could. I was quite entrigued when i heard wwf bought wcw. But when Vince said what he said I lost all couriousness.

Thanks
The Pakman!

Hey guys, I've been a fan of your site for several months. This WWF buying WCW thing has really hit me and I want to share my thoughts on this:

when I heard that the WWF would buy the WCW, I nearly shit myself. I almost fell out of my chair I was so stunned and shocked. This situation has definatly changed the landscape of wrestling forever. Some good things, and some not so good things are sure to result from all of this.

With this merger of the WWF and the WCW, Vince MacMahon (my hero just for the record) can set up an "All Star Game" of wrestling. Just think of what a WWF vs. WCW fued could do for the wrestling world. A culmination at a PPV of some sort would draw record numbers of buys and ticket sales. To think of a WWF champ vs. a WCW champ style PPV would be awesome. The Rock vs. Booker T, Austin vs. Goldberg, Hardys vs. 3 Count, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho vs. Team Canada (well why not?), and the list can go on and on. You could very easily fit 4 hours of wrestling in one show. Perhaps we could see Vince and Shane MacMahon vs. Ric Flair and David Flair too. There would be unlimited talent, and unlimited story lines with millions more fans tuning in all over the world. This situation looks ideal and overall perfect... right?

Well, not neccessarily. First of all, the WWF has maintained a tranquil and otherwise peaceful locker room. Guys like Big Papa Pump and Goldberg are notorius for starting trouble in the locker rooms. Egos, comapny loyality and fame issues could divide the locker room. Another problem would be the monopolization of the sports entertainment world. It is now harder than ever for an indy wrestler to make it to the big 3 because in the last 3 months, the big 3 has become the big 1. There is only so much time in a week where fueds can be carried out and people to get over. It is also painfully obvious that many people from WCW and some lower guys from the WWF will lose their jobs. It has also become apparent that guys who were looking at main event pushes (Jericho, Benoit, Kane) will be put aside so that guys like BPP, Booker T and DDP can be pushed to the WWF title position. Shit happens, and it may rain shit on some talented guys who will get screwed out of their jobs.

I am a high school senior, and this situation is not all that different from when the two high schools in my city merged into one. Many people were afraid of job cuts, and that the employees (or students in my case) would not get along. None of this has happened yet, but we will have to wait.

Hey Kevin its Mike Lynch. Here is my rants

I think its sorta good and bad that WWF bought WCW. Last night after I watched Nitro I was disappointed. I was always a bigger WCW fan and I going to miss wrestlers like Sting and Flair. I am going to miss the lightweights. I may hate him but yes I am going to miss Goldberg. WCW I thought was a great wrestling organzation. I hope that Vince can make WCW they way it used to be and noth make it like WWF. If he does make it like WWF then there will be no more lightweights. That deeply sadens me. Also they would get rid of Flair. Flair was the true master and creator of pro wrestling. He will be truly missed. The good part is that WWF will be promoting WCW via WWF TV. I also would like to see a interchangeable storylines. Booker T vs Austin or things like that. Those will be classics. When WCW comes back I really hope for the best and I would love to see Sting, Flair and many other WCW wreslters return.

What the HELL is wrong with wcw fans. I loved wcw and the wwf when they were in competition but they don't see the good Vince is doing for the biusness. The last year are so wcw has been rendered a non-competition to the wwf at least now Vince can get them some ratings. And even if it is just a Vince&wwf/Shane&wcw angle it will bring some fire to the now dead rivalry between the 2 feds. Open your eyes and see what Vince is doing. The ratings and ppv buy rates for both feds will go thru the roof.I know it will be strange but let your primative minds grow and think on a little higher level ok

I wouldn't be surprised if Vince retires in the next few months (or at least takes a long time out before realising he's addicted to success). He's won the wrestling war, there's no one left for him to compete against. He's set his family up nicely now, but WWF/WCW is in danger of going to sleep if there is no competition.

To pinch an old Heenan line - comparing WWF to WCW is like comparing ice cream to horse manure (make your own mind up on which way around that is).

I don't know if you peoples are living under a rock. This is the best thing that ever happen to wrestling. All of the sudden your backing up wcw only a few hundred while the rest watch the WWF. Vince McMahon is a characters all he said was to juicy up the show come one even the smart fan know what you see on TV is a Story and nothing personal.
I don't know what was traditional about wcw they were just as guilty as the wwf doing whatever it need. Come on most of the wrestlers were living there characters ego manics they were spoiled brat who wasn't in it for wrestling but the money. I don't know why you are bashing the WWF for giving you fun with wrestling be honest would you sit and watch a wrestling match for 5 minutes without anything in between. No, you probably wouldn't. These days we don't have the patients anymore and we needed excitement
I wish peoples don't pigeon hole the e WWF, the superstars don't raise your kids you do. They are not there 24/7 the one thing that is missing in our life is HONESTY. Tell your children what we do is professionals and you will get hurt if they don't listen. don't let them watch until they do. Be a parents talk to your kids with Honesty. Marian

The only time that the wwf was better than wcw, was when wcw tried to be the wwf. Vince isn't the genious that everyone thinks he is, and he has been given to much credit for wrestlers' characters and the storylines. Vince has ruined professional wrestling forever.

Theres alot of things I could say about the WWF/WCW Sale. But above all else I think that the WWF buying WCW was a very wise business decision. Its like Vince said, He now owns his competition. The fans out there who keep claiming that wrestling is gonna fall apart now that there is no competition are fools. Have any of you ever heard of XPW? Or any other indy feds? By Vince owning all of his immediate competition, its gonna give the independents there chance to prove themselves. You have to keep in mind, Vince isnt going to keep all of the talent in both feds, so when theyre released they will resort to the indys. Any WCW fans out there that have beef with Vince now shouldnt be watching wrestling at all. If they cant appreciate what Vince is going to do for their fed, then us WWF fans will.

I think the King is a fool for posting up the letter he sent to McMahon and immediately making the situation of his exit from the WWF known to the whole Internet wrestling community.

How does he expect to be taken back now?. What the WWF did is wrong, and he and Kat should still be there, but the way he has conducted himself throughout this situation has only surely hurt his and Kat's chances of getting back into the WWF, especially with the recent bitching on Chyna.

He should have waited longer than he has before letting the public know what had happened, and contacted Vince constantly behind closed doors. Instead, only a few days after he was released almost everyone knew what had basically happened.

Now this letter is out, I'm sure Vince will view this as being unprofessional conduct. Compare this to Mean Gene, no one seems to know what's going on with him, then suddenly he's reported to be back with the WWF. If Lawler is suppose to be McMahon's "friend", why did he go running off, telling everyone what McMahon did to Kat so quickly?

I may be ignorant, but I think he's made the very situation he's complaining about worse for himself with such unprofessional conduct.
