How many of you just knew that when Hogan's arrival at WCW was
announced and Flair won the Title from Vader that within record time Flair
would be laying down and handing the title over to Hogan? Ok, well here we
go again!!! Only this time it's Flair's protege Triple H! But Why oh why
must we continue to watch this 48 year old man with one good wheel, hobble
around the ring playing air guitar on the most coveted prize in professional
wrestling? This is horrible, but very predictible! Figures the WWF would
do what is most profitible to them by pleasing the Hogan marks, instead of
doing what would make their program more exciting and attractive in the long
run.
As for the rest of the show I give it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10!
Although Jazz is one tough lady, I would much rather see Trish Stratus on
twice a week, what man wouldn't? And I like Molly's new look! Eddie's
clean win over RVD was probably the shocker of the night for me, I never saw
that coming. I know a lot of RVD fans will be upset at that, but you have
to look at it like this, RVD will flourish there is no doubt about that.
There's no need to rush into it, take Goldberg for example! Oh and to
correct the opening monologue on TWNPnews.com, Tajiri won the title, not
retained it!
Something seriously needs to be done with the Tag Team division! I
understand breaking up the APA for Bradshaw's benefit, but why break up the
Dudley's and then put the Hardy's on the opposite show of the Tag Titles?
That defies all logic? Im willing to make a motion that we include a Flair
match in every PPV? Do I hear a second??? Flair is over 50 years old and
can still draw a better match than most the guys in the locker room! I wish
I could say that about his referee skills as well. Looks like we haven't
seen the last of Austin vs. Flair! Maybe well get lucky and they'll work in
a match with those to that would work out any negative effects a stiff fest
between Hogan and Taker would leave behind?
Oh and on a side note.... Rock has great charisma, he's a very talented
guy with loads of potential, yet I am not, nor will I ever be a Rock fan.
Why? Simple, he has no love for the buissiness. He just got "Passed the
Torch" as everyone likes to say, and yet he's off making movies and his
future in Wrestling is unknown? Im sorry, but don't ever ask me to cheer
for a guy like that.
Looking foward to the return of Benoit, ya'll keep um strait up there!

I was at Backlash last night, and I thought it was awsome. The show to me was much more entertaining at some points then the last ppv. (yes I know that was Mania, but I other then the hogan/rock match I didnt think it was great). THe Hogan / Triple H match was great, after the show they did thier fan poses together, (hunter doing Hogan's ear thing, etc. and Hogan spitting water, etc.) I think the show was very well done.

It was a good ppv. Hogan vs The Undertaker was a great fued in the 90's The biggest shock to me was Eddie Guerrero beating RVD like he was a jobber! I was hoping Billy and Chuck would lose. They both suck

The WWF once again managed to put on nearly 3 hours of a borrrrinnng show. Even Smackdown was better than Backlash. As usual, no surprizes, no major bumps- nothing but slow paced crap. How many times have Austin and Undertaker wrestled now? Austin is moving slow. Even Hogan is wrestling better than Austin- and HHH loses the title after what- a whole month? To the Red and Yellow Hulkster, HOW WACK! The WWF has turned there back on real fans with there mainstream-gimick filled booking. The real fans made up the big ratings-and most of the real fans gave up about a year ago. They need to dump the MTV writers, and get some real wrestling heads to do the booking, or WWF is going where WCW did in the end.

Ok, I thought I was watching a WWF PPV , but I think I wound up in Bizarro World...
because why have Hulk Hogan win the belt, and what is with HHH shaking the man's hand afterwards?

That was not the HHH I know, but a weak clown. pleasing the same crowd that only 2yrs ago
who booed Hogan for showing up in WCW wearing red and yellow and doing the same tiresome act even then.

all and all here is how I broke it down...

Tajiri and Kidman- Very strong match, ended just a little too quickly, with the nestle' quik spit take from Tajiri.

Hall and Bradshaw - Weak Match, Bradshaw kept flubbing his spots, what also should have happened
is Faarooq being buddy-buddy, and towards the end turning on Bradshaw and going nWo
and run a potential Smackdown nWo faction, great opportunity, blown.

Jazz and Trish - Decent Match, pretty predictable.

Jeff Hardy and Brock Lesnar- Utterly Devastating to watch poor Jeff, be thrown around like a dart, overall ok.

Edge and Kurt Angle- all I can say is WOW!!! very well fought match.

Chris Jericho - ok, why is he there just so we can listen to him bitch, should've ended with Chris Beniot standing at the
top of the ramp and just smiling at him, kinda set something up for a potenial fued and Judgement day
PPV match. other than that no reason for that spot.

RVD and Eddie- MATCH OF THE NIGHT, Eddie Rocks, and I don't say that much about him, just surpasses the
Edge and Kurt match by a hair.

Undertaker and Steve Austin- YYYYAAAWWWNNNN, found myself and all my friends talking thru this match, not much too
it , Jazz and Trish was better than this. FLair saying "Sh$@!" was ok too.

Lenny and Lodi (Ooops!) Billy and Chuck and Al Snow and Maven?- What genius decided to put this on to follow up the
UnderTaker and Steve Austin Match, Weak Match overall, now I noticed I was really getting bored.
and the place we were watching this PPV at people were leaving as well, so what does that tell you.

and now, Hogan vs HHH- I don't know who that was, but that was not HHH... just plkain weak and we all went home
and felt ripped off. let me write for these guys, cause they ...how did Edge put it.?
Oh Yeah!! They Suck!!!

Over all I thought that it was a bad PPV. I just didn't have the fire like they usually do. There wasn't any hiped up matches besides the main event. But the main thing that I wanted to hear and was bumbed because i didn't hear it,....was Hogan's old WWF theme. I think that it would be the best thing if he came out in his old theme. Jimi's "Voodoo Child" just doesn't fit with Hulkamania. Thanks, Jeremy

WHAT THE HELL WAS VINCE SMOKIN'? Why would you put the "Un-disputed" title on a old, washed up, has-been who doesn't deserve it? And for all you marks out there, HULKIMANIA CAN KISS MY ASS!!

Overall Backlash was rather disapointing. There were a few great matches. Edge/Angle was very good, RVD and Eddie were also very good, even though I didn't like the ending. I was glad to see Hall beat Bradshaw, give the NWO some credibility. Lesnar was frightening in his debut. I wanted to see him get the 1,2,3 instead of the match getting stopped and Jeff getting to walk out of the arena; taking Jeff out on a stretcher would have given Lesnar more momentum. Austin/Taker was awful, just awful. It took far too long and was very slow. What the hell was the NWO doing out there? I did kind of like the ending and Ric Flair's response was funny. Hogan/HHH was a typical Hogan match. I was surprised they gave him the belt. The interference at the end livened the match up quite a bit. I wish they would turn HHH. He does so well as a heel. Overall, the first more expensive pay per view left a bad taste in my mouth and a larger dent in my credit card. The WWF better come up with something good soon......

would truly bring back the Hogan of old school. My friends and I get so damn pumped when we hear that music. When the WWF played it on RAW way back and had Brisco and Patterson come out to Hogan's old music, I was so pumped. Someone PLEASE tell the WWF to play Hulk Hogan's old school intro. -Daddy Dukez-

I did not order BAcklash, but I think it is a disgrace to the wrestling fan and to the REAL workers in the WWF for Hogan to be given the belt. Why does he have it? He is nearing 50 years old and could not wrestle his way out of a paper bag. Is it because he is popular? Austin is popular and he doesn't have it. The Rock is popular and he doesn't have. RVD is popular and he doesn't have it. I do not get it. Hogan has done NOTHING to deserve a title shot. It is a slap in the face to all the Hard working wrestlers in the WWF who have busted their butts night after night and what do they get? They get to see a Has been like Hogan walk in, and be given the title. How many house shows does he work? The man could not carry a match in a bucket. There ought to be a walkout. Where would vince be then?

This is the worse thing that could ever happened...its a shame really....you might as well strap the belt on David Arquette....think I'll stop watching wrestling til Hogan dies......thanks alot for resurrecting this virus WWF..and everyone said the NWO didn't work ...sure looks like a leathel injection to me....no NWO equal no Hogan...which means...I could still enjoy wrestling oh well maybe they will do the right thing and give the title to Benoit.....yeah right.....
