I was really upset with the ppv last night. i mean, is it too much to ask of the wwf to "spice" things up once in a while?? let's see some new faces. i know the roster is full to the hilt, but why couldn't we have a newly acquired wcw face in shane's match. by the way, it's sad when the only good bump was taken by the boss' son, followed by rhino with a close second when he gored the shopping cart. how sad is that!?! anyway, i hope that the wwf doesn't keep putting out products like this just because it has no competition and because it can. i hope vince has something special in mind for us long-haul hardcore fans.

Backlash sucked a fat one last night. The main event was soooo predictable. The submissions match didnt run as smooth as it should have with Benoit and Angle in it. The Jericho Regal match was just plain stupid. Hell the best match of the night was the European title match.

Comments:
Raven, and Rhyno put on the best hardcore title match I have ever seen in the WWF. If others in the WWF would work as hard as those two, then The Hardcore division would be a success. Another note, Shane Mcmahon has earned respect last night. In my view he's earned it a while ago, but it's nice to see someone who doesn't need to do anything to make a name for himself, since his last name is Mcmahon, give so much of himself for the business. Shane is a hell of a performer, and has definately stepped out of the shadow of his father.

Backlash, the 1st ppv of the year I had no interest in. Besides for the last man standing match and the all titles on the line deal, it was just a very good RAW. I don't think that matches from wrestlemania should be repeated because those matches are supposed to be special and only done at a wrestlemania. I also predicted correctly every match and the easiest one was austin hhh winning because there's no way in hell austin is losing that belt after 1 month.

I thought Backlash sucked all together. the best match was Beniot/Angle and it wasnt as good as i thought i would be. For most of the faces to lose, and nothing spectacular such as an apperance by The Rock or someone else Tajiri maybe, it sucked. Stupid endings and alot of the guys didnt look all that sharp. So maybe they thought it sucked too and didnt want to participate in a crap ass PPV. of course, thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

This may be long, but if you read it I would like to hear a response from you too. I have been a wrestling fan since the age of two and that's the truth. I have seen many pay per views. In fact me and a group of friends started a kind of pay per view club almost three years ago and have been buying every WWF show each month. After seeing Backlash, we seriously all looked at each other and said that it was the worst pay per view we have ever seen. And there is no doubt it was. Not one match on that card had any serious build up to it. Sure there were fueds, but the matches themselves had no build up. Plus not one match was even remotely exciting to watch. The best part of the night was Shane's Foley-like dive from the top of the Titantron. I am a huge Y2J fan, and I knew he was going to lose his match, but I wasn't sure how. To be honest it was a waste of time. If he was going to lose like he did, that match could have been five minutes long and still surved the same effect. There are other problems with the way WWF is handling their storylines and roster right now but none more aggrevating than that of HHH and Austin. I don't like Austin as a heel plain and simple. However, if he has to be a heel why are they making him a wimp. Before his heel turn he wouldn't back down from anybody. At Backlash it took him five minutes just to get in the ring. Then at one point, he was on his knees begging Taker not to hit him! That is not the Stone Cold that brought the WWF out from the ashes. His image is shattered because he is siding with Vince, HHH, and Stephanie, so much for DTA. Now I know HHH is in the back pocket of Vince and has booking power. I have no doubt he cried to Vince, "Oh why don't I get a belt, Austin got one?" So he got the IC title. Now with the tag belts he is a Grand Slam Champion. Shawn Michaels, being one of wrestlings all time greats, is the only other man to have done that, and it should have stayed that way. HHH did carry a heavy load for the WWF in the past, but to have him win constantly is just boring and aggrevating. I was excited when Vince bought WCW, but now I'm afraid that he is getting too comfortable. Without any competition, he is letting the WWF slip into a predictable and uninteresting phase and that is not good for any wrestling fan.

that has to be one of the worst pay per views of the year. compared to this years wrestlemania i would rate it a 1... if i had another option i wouldnt be watching the world wrestling federation. vince better do something great for raw. i hope he doesnt put the same matches on raw like he does after every pay perview. it kinda cheapens the purpose of ordering it. watch when wcw starts up test will problly be the first to take the belt from booker t... this sucks!

Backlash...yeesh, I'm reeeeaaalll glad I coughed up 30 bucks for the same crap I'm gonna see tonight on RAW.

Backlash was the WORST PPV. Set aside the incredible leap of faith by Shane
O Mac (granted he missed the big show but still incredible) and the Hardcore
match (seeing Rhyno goring a shopping cart was classic!) the rest of the
card was sub par. Who booked this garbage, Kevin Sullivan?? X-Factor and the
Dudley Boyz was an extended piss break and predictable. Jericho and Regal
was just plain idiotic. The Dutchess looked like Regal, I do wonder if that
was his sister. The European title was good.....if it was on RAW. The main
event? WTF was that garbage??? The least they could have done was bring
someone new in and add excitement to it. Maybe have Leviathon come in and be
a long lost cousin or something along those lines. If you have the Holly
cousins and the Dudleyz why not the Deadmen! Come on Vince, do you think
that because you bought WCW that you can now put on PPVs as bad as they did?
Give me a break! A waste of 30 dollars I could have spent on beer and CHEAP
hookers instead.

I thought that Backlash was good. SHANE MCMAHON stole the show by jumping of the titontron more than 30+ feet and winning the last man standing match from a little help from test. Chris Benoit winning the 30 minute submission match and also the main event where triple h and Austin winning the tag- team titles from brothers of destruction. Triple H is the second to capture the grandslam only one other guy that did it also and that is the heartbreak kid Shawn Michaels. But the hightlight of the show was SHANE MCMAHON. HE stole the show.

Backlash SUCKED! But then again every fan that watches WWF watches Soap Operas and believe everything is real. To bad the WWF doesn't want to use real talent like GOLDBERG and the WCW is gone, just the dictatorship of this WWF Soap Opera wrestling. Then again the WWF Fans really believe that Shane could kick the Big Shows ass, it's a shame and disgrace to what they're doing to this guy. Oh yeah, Sone Old is really bad, this old fart sucks, but then again the average WWF fana age is 5 to 25= same mentallity + no life, it's o.k. for the 5 year old but to the adult= get a LIFE!
