This week TWNP asked its visitors about what they thought about WWF Unforgiven.

On with the rants

From Patsfanbri2000

I thought it was a good ppv and the jericho/van dam match was a five star
match.

From Dr. T

I was in the 12th row at Unforgiven last night here in the Burgh; some random thoughts and es.

-RVD, Jericho, Edge and Christian deserve raises. They saved that PPV from being a bomb.

-Booker T is coming into his own, he looks like he belongs in the WWF now.

-Hurricane Helms is freakin hysterical, but Storm is too good of a wrestler to be set up in that gimmick tag team. Lets put Storm in the mix with Edge and Tajiri and such.

-The Kronik/Taker/Kane match was the WORST Ive EVER seen at a live event. Clark is the only one who would take a shot, everyone else pulled back before the boot/punch was even close. It looked like an old Hogan or Nash match with the head snaps when the punch is 12 inches away. The shots were Not stiff anyway. Weak work from some big, slow guys; one who needs to retire and several who need LOTS of practice.

Whew, I feel better now.....Doc

From SiK

uhhhh... everybody was saying this would be such a great ppv... but im not easily impressed... im really sick of watching the same stuff over and over again... to make there ppv's better they need to make better use of there non-main event wrestlers by developing there characters more and giving them a push... but i guess there just gunna hold everyone back since they'll be signing some of the top stars from wcw once there contracts expire... so i guess they just wont waste there time trying to make there current product better... it would be a lot more interesting if the storylines for ppv matches were done over a few weeks but it seems that half the matches were just thrown together to fill up the timeslot... and one more thing... why was the u.s. title match after the wcw world title match? that didnt seem right... overall this ppv is average which means it sucked... please vince give us something thats worth more then what we paid for... i hope rob van dam gets a title match at the next ppv so we wont have to once again watch some combination of an austin/angle/booker t/rock match for the 20th time

From UBiGoGrE

I don't know why they gave Kronik a title bout so early after signing WWFE
contracts. I thought they had a very poor in-ring performance. They
weren't really selling Taker/Kane's offensive moves well at all. They need a
lot of work before they get another title shot.

From Dravensnt

I've been working in the wrestling business for about 10 years now. Last
nights PPV was a complete waste of $30 , as It measured up to WCW PPV status
only. I'll break down the matches as this :
Tag team Championship :Match was a waste of time for Hardy's and Dudleys
abilities and shouldn't have opened the PPV - They should never have had to
work with " Big Slow "

Saturn and Raven - Tuely shows what happens when two great workers are burned
out , cocky , and have no direction . They both are great workers- but the
match was very sloppy and they both need new direction . 1st match to show
sloppy spot that caused blood ( no blading needed ) Terri was the only reason
anybody watched .

Christian / Edge - Great workers - Great match - Nasty gash Edge got ,
another non blading bleed

taker/kane/Kronik - 1st time I've seen adams/Clarke work so hard- they do
have talent , and being the reason they're there is becuase of Taker - maybe
he should show them ways of gaining staying power

RVD/Jericho - Solid match - Jericho seemed alittle slopy - or maybe RVD is
just a better all around wrestler - Don't get me worng - I like Jericho - but
RVD is just that damn good

Booker T/ Rock - Served no Point - They need Rock in a new ANgle , and Booker
needs to get a bigger push in a non-Gibronee way . They both had great Talent
, but Booker is a better face , and Rock is higher Caliber than the " WCW "
Champ - They nee to do something to make WCW Viable again

Rhyno / Tijiri - Great workers- Both men always put there full efforts in -
Rhyno is so huge , and Jiri is so quick - I was shouting for both of them :-)

Austin / Angle - solid match , crappy end though - it was like watching "
eyes wide shut " It had all the potention of being great , and everytime you
thought something cool was going to happen , it just died down . They are
both great workers, Angle is truely exciting to watch ( I really thought he
was a waste at first ,but has changed my mind completely ) but the match had
no pop to it , and the ending just came and went .

Those are my rants - I hope I didn't bore you :-)

From Tim2165

pretty boring...same double main event two ppv's in a row; only ecw could pull that off. rock wins, big in shocker, he's invincible remember? (extreme sarcasm)... i really thought austin would pull out the win since angle won on raw. wrestling is getting boring really fast, they need to hurry up and break the alliance away so i don't have to waste time watching wwf losers.....is j.r losing his touch or what??? the more he talks, the more i'm annoyed......and finally is it just me or was steph damn near hitting on the whole f'n show monday on raw??? can't recall her exact words, but it was something along the lines of "i know a few other things u could do for me". it was hilarious how rvd just kind of shrugged her off as he was walking away. peace-tim

From Caviddavis

Why, why,why does T.W.Cable have so many problems in the Daytona Beach
area??? I end up missing almost every other pay-per-view due to thier
failure. The worst match of the night ended up with me playing phone tag with
them. Than at 9:30 they call and say it is on. Well how wrong they were. They
said, " Well we thought it was going to come in". With all the problems in
the world these days I guess it should not bother me like it does, but
T.W.Cable can go #%&$ themselves.....Cave Dave

From David Froese

I thought that the pay per view was very slow. except of course the y2j/RVD match. I liked that angle won but i thought some ustin stunners would have made it a better comeback so he could kick out.

From Chris

In a word, the show sucked!! WWF has no stories worth a squat, the matches
were boring. Very predictable, no suprises just plain boring. WWF needs
something to spice up the shows or they are going to be like WCW. Someone
please start up a new federation, maybe if WWF had some copetition they
would actually work on putting up a great show.

VERY LAME!

From DatDamGoodIn909

The first and second matches left a lot to be desired as did the U.S. Title
match, but the rest of the card was outstanding , especially RVD vs. Y2J,
what a match and what a performance from both men, and the WWF Title match
was outstanding, although it didnt have the emotional draw as Summer Slam, it
did have many exciting moments and overall, i would have to say this PPV
ranked 8 1/2 out of ten.

From Matt

Everyone knew that Angle was gonna win the title, I was hoping for a swerve
that saw Austin keep it. Y2J and RVD put on a clinic, I hope RVD gets more
of a push, he has IC Title written all over him. The 4 tag team match was
pretty cheesy, what the hell was Big Show doing in their? As for the
Saturn/Raven match.... bathroom break. Best match of the night was Edge and
Christian bar none.

~Matt

From Michael Nolette

I thought this ppv was a 5 star splash and angle making austin tap was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Tim2165(Again?)

first of all i taped raw to catch the game. football has finally started!! great game by the way. mccaffrey's leg injury made my stomach turn. anyway, raw was pretty much the same as usual. boring rock promos, boring rock matches. when is he ever gona get rid of that "if ya smell..." line. all he does in promos is make fun of people, and he can't wrestle for shit. put him against rvd and then maybe it will be semi-interesting. speaking of rvd, his match last night was kind of disappointing. i think they used that match as more of a setup for austin to attack angle. no hilarious stasiak bits either. the only thing i liked was the undertaker getting his ass kicked. i hope kane turns on him when he comes back. well and of course, i also loved torrie, but that's a given. i think kanyon is a tremendous talent, but so is tajiri, so i was kind of torn between the two for that matchup. anyway, the sooner the alliance breaks away from the wwf, the better (but not until after they put the japanese buzzsaw back in ecw where he belongs). peace- tim
p.s. when are they going to add more matches to unforgiven????
