The show starts off with with the basic intro, but at the begining of the
song it shows that TNA is under new management.Borash introduces the new management with "great pleasure" as Fairplay
leads out the Champ Jeff Jarrett. The damn ICP fans start their lame ICP
chants as Jarrett comes to the ring. Callis carries out the Under New
Management sign and every TNA star is out for this "company wide meeting".
Jeff introduces Tom T to everyone as this fat ass comes out with a brief
case and cheesy 30's music. Tenay comments that he would have prefered
that face remain a secret. Tom tells us the entire board has resigned
effective 9pm tonight. He then talks to the talent that didn't sign the
loyalty oath calling them in breech of contract and subject to dismissal
from TNA. He then suggests that if they didn't want to comply they can
hit the road. He says that Jarrett and Callis "Own" each and every one of
them. Jarrett asks the one of the team Simon and Swinger that signed the
contract to step forward now or both are fired. He then tells Lynn that
his team better win or he will be fired. Siaki was told that since he was
listening to the Wizard of Oz he has a match against Kid Kash and if he
loses he is in breech of contract and fired. He tells El Leon that
halloween is over and he needs to take off the mask now, or tonight if he
loses to Abyss tonight. Jarrett then says that tonight he has a title
match, but he knows it isn't AJ or D'Lo because Abyss put them through
tables and it isn't Raven because the Gathering took care of him. Jarrett
says he isn't worried because he wil take care of the challenger. Jarrett
then says if anyone has any questions speak now. Chris Harris picks up a
mic and tells Jarrett that he has a problem with Jarrett and that he was
taught to keep his mouth shut, but now it is time for Jarrett to shut his
mouth. He remembers when holding the title stood for pride and tradition.
Jarrett tries to speak and Harris tells him to keep his mouth shut.
Harris says that they are sick and tired of him coming out and making this
show the Jeff Jarrett show. Jarrett says Harris is nothing but a midcard
tag team wrestler. Harris says that "this midcard wrestler gave TNA some
of the best matches in the company last year." He tells Jarrett he
doesn't know who is opponent is tonight, but all of them do. Jarrett
tells him to shut up and that he can make Harris or break Harris. Harris
comes down to the ring and he goes after Jarrett. A brawl then ensues as
the ring fills up and the unloyal wrestlers clear the ring. Pretty decent
segment.
Hudson in back with Pena and Quintero to talk about the America's Cup. We
learn that AAA has combine with Triple L and they are coming to TNA
because they will win the America's Cup and he already has a place set
aside for the cup.
Video package on ICP
Match One: Glenn Gilberti & David Young vs Insane Clown Posse
ICP goes airbourne in this one as both Shaggy and Violent J go over the
top rope with sommersaults into Young and Gilberti. David Young, who we
learned is affraid of clowns on Xplosion, doesn't want to get in the ring
with either men. When Young does get in the ring the clowns take it too
him. During the match, Violent J hits a moonsault on Young and Shaggy
hits a leg drop from the top rope for the win.
After the match, an embarassed Gilberti attacks the clowns with David
Young until Tony Too Tough comes out and scares them off.
Hudson in back with Team TNA about the X Cup.
Video Package on Kid Kash trying to get people to sign the loyalty oath.
Match Two: Kid Kash vs Sonny Siaki
It was approximately a year ago the last time these guys wrestled. Kash
won the X title from Siaki that night with the help of Trinity. During
the match, Siaki tries for an over head release suplex and Kash lands
directly on his head (just like he did on the biffed moonsault a year
ago). Kash is ok, but seconds later Siaki sends him over the ropes head
first into the guardrail. As they are outside, Kash takes Borash's chair,
Borash tries to stop him and gets tossed to the ground, Kash hits Siaki
with the smashmouth, Kash slaps Tiny, Sarah hits Kash with a broom. The
end comes when Borash distracts Kash allowing Siaki to roll Kash up for
the win.
After the match, Callis then comes down and instructs Sarah, Tiny and
Borash that they are not contracted to interfere in matches. He then
fires all three of them. He then tells Siaki that he may not have
breeched his contract tonight, but he will and when he does, Callis will
fire his ass. Kash comes in and goes at it with Siaki until Trinity
interferes and the two then beat Siaki down and then stick an Under New
Management sticker across the chest of Siaki.
Hudson in back with AMW. Jarrett confronts Harris and wants to know who
his opponent is. Security quickly breaks it up.
Video Package on Abyss and El Apollo.
Match Three: Abyss vs El "Apollo" Leon
New ring announcer, and bell ringer come to the ring. (Tim Welch - Ring
Announcer, Rick Michaels - Bell Ringer) This match wasn't very good if
you ask me. For two guys that familiar with each other, they moved very
slow and botched a lot of spots. Abyss hits a blackhole slam, but instead
of covering he tries to take off El Leon's mask. Before he can, AJ Styles
hits the ring and takes out Abyss.
After the match, AJ tells us he wants his title shot. Callis comes out
and asks if the fans want AJ to get a title shot. He tells AJ he will get
a title shot tonight... a tag title shot and his partner will be... ABYSS!
Hudson in back with the Sandman and Terry Funk. Sandman beats himself
with a beer can and busts himself open.
Match Four: Terry Funk & The Sandman vs CM Punk & Julio Dinero
Well, this match at least lasted over five minutes. Punk and Dinero win
after gillotene leg droping Sandman threw a chair. Bummer that Sandman
can't seem to win a match.
Sit Down Interview w/Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger
Tenay asks which one signed the loyalty contract. Diamond says that
Gilberti doesn't have credibility and that he has lied about everything
since they came to TNA. Everything was about Glenn Gilberti. Swinger
talks about the history of Simon and Swinger. Swinger trusts Diamond with
his life and he wouldn't do anything to hurt him. Johnny Fairplay
interupts saying he smells a liar and he says that he should know because
he told the biggest lie in the history of TV. He says what makes a good
liar is that he admits to it. Simon grabs at Fairplay and shoves him to
the ground and then walks off leaving Tenay and Swinger wondering what is
up.
This was a great segment. Really added drama to the storyline.
Match Five: Tag Title Match - Red Shirt Security vs Abyss & AJ Styles
Before the match starts, El Leon attacks Abyss and they fight to the back.
It is now two on one. This was a great match! Crowd was dull but the
match was great. In a shocker, AJ wins the match making him and Abyss the
new tag champs! Harris came out to thwart off the Red Shirts attempts at
double teaming.
Video footage of Urlacher's appearance and some news casts talking about it.
West shows us a National Enquirer article on Jonny Fairplay. They then go
over the America's X Cup next week.
Hudson in back with the ICP. They challenge anyone to a Juggalo Street
fight next week.
Watts comes through the crowd and West says he must Jarrett's opponent,
but Tenay tells him he is wrong! Watts talks about what happened last
week and tells us he will step down because he is a man of his word. He
may have stepped down, but he ain't gone. He isn't the DOA, but he is a
wrestler and he calls Jarrett out. Instead he gets Goldylocks. She comes
out to some interesting music that must be her own. Goldy says she has
some things to talk to him about. She sucks on the mic. West makes the
comment, "I don't believe in violence against women, but man." Goldy goes
on to rip Eric for not saying he was sorry and then tells him that she
faked it, every time. Watts then kisses her and spits on the mat. He
picks Goldy up for a choke slam, but Jarrett and the Red Shirts come out
to beat on Watts. They tape him to the chair as Jarrett beats on him with
a billy club before Red Shirts cover Watts' mouth with the Under New
Management Sticker. Then, Dustin Rhodes hits the ring and we find out he
is the challenger to Jarrett.
Match Six: World Title Match - Jeff Jarrett vs Dustin Rhodes
We figured he would be here sooner or later, and now he is. No gimmick,
just the same old Dustin Rhodes that has never gotten over on his own.
Let's hope he can do it in TNA. They brawl all over the arena, through
the crowd, up to the balcony, to the dancing cages, and then back to the
ring. Red Shirts make their presence felt in the match as they double
team Dustin, but Dustin fights them off and El Leon and Harris take care
of them in the end. Abyss comes down and pulls the ref out before a
three. As Dustin fights Abyss off, AJ comes off the top rope with a frog
splash on Jarrett. Dustin connects with the Shattered Dreams, but the
Naturals come out and spoil the party by throwing powder and hitting
Dustin with a chair. Jarrett barely escapes with his belt. Tenay is fed
that from the back that as the last move, the board of directors will name
a new Director of Authority. That ends the show.
Overall, a pretty good show tonight. Some good surprises, some dull ones,
but overall good.
