TNA starts off and runs right into technical difficulties. First there is
not video, then the video with no sound.Hudson in back with Team TNA. Audio finally comes back, but it is behind
on lips and very crappy quality.
Armando Quintera in back with Team AAA. The lips are off again. This is
not going good for TNA.
Match One: Juventud Guerrera vs Chris Sabin
This match is going well, but the audio is way behind the video so you see
the chops before you hear them! The match was pretty good, but they cut
out the end trying to fix the problem. The audio came back on track, but
the video got screwed up.
Hudson in back with Jarrett. They finally fix everything! Douglas comes
in and talks to Team Jarrett. He totally compliments Douglas and he says
he is there for Jarrett. Jarrett asks him if he knows who the new DOA is
and Douglas asks who got the word. Jarrett says Tenay and gets the hint.
Match Two: Hector Garza vs Sonjay Dutt
Pretty solid match from both men. Garza hits a wicked corkscrew backflip
to win the match. Great stuff. AAA is up 2-0, so I guess Sabin lost.
Hudson in back with Jerry Lynn. His team is down 2-0 and Jerry says, no
worries, they will tie it up.
Match Three: Mr. Aguila vs Jerry Lynn
Another solid match in which Jerry Lynn wins to make the score 2-1. Lynn
wins with the spike piledriver.
Scott Hudson in back again with Jeff Jarrett. This time he is back with
Tom T. Father Mitchell comes in and offers his and the Gathering's
services any time he needs them. Jarrett wants Funk and Sandman taken out
too. Punk says Jarrett doesn't have to worry about Raven fulfilling his
destiny anymore. Jarrett asks if Mitchell knows who the new DOA is and
Mitchell says if he were a betting man he would say Tenay. Jarrett gets
mad and tells Tom T to get the ring ready.
Match Four: Abismo Negro vs Elix Skipper
This match was the worst of the first four. It just looked sloppy. Abismo
Negro wins the match putting AAA up 3-1.
Armando Quintera in back with Juventud. Juventud speaks both Spanish and
English, so I have no clue what he said. Oh, Quintera tells us that he
says that they are up 3-1 and will take the cup back to Mexico. Quintera
asks if Daniels and Low Ki were on the team, Juvi interupts and says that
it doesn't matter at all. Team AAA would still win.
Match Five: Juventud Guerrera & Abismo Negro vs Sonjay Dutt & Jerry
Lynn
This match was ok. Abismo just seems sloppy in the ring tonight. He gets
the win with a rollup. 5-1 Team AAA.
Hudson in back with Skipper and Sabin.
Match Six: Hector Garza & Mr. Aguila vs Chris Sabin & Elix Skipper
This was a much better tag team match than the last one. Good stuff from
all four men. I really like each man in this match and they didn't
dissappoint me. Sabin and Skipper get the win when Sabin rolls Garza up
for the three. Some pretty sweet moves at the end of that match. Score
is 5-3 Team AAA.
Hudson in back with Jarrett and Tom T. They have the refs and security
teams in back talking about the loyalty clause they all signed. After
Jarrett is done he asks Hudson who the new DOA is and Hudson says no.
Jarrett doesn't believe him when he says that nobody in the building knows
who it is. Hudson says, maybe Tenay. Jarrett is again irrate.
Terry Funk comes to the ring and tells us he doesn't like to be called a
living legend because he is just a guy that busted his ass in wrestling
for the past thirty years and loves it. He says that he wants to come
back one more time and announces that next week he will team with Raven
against the Gathering.
Tenay and West go over next week's show. Funk/Raven vs Gathering, ICP vs
2 of Jarrett's men, debut of Playing Fair with Jonny with special guest
Chyna Doll Joanie Lauer, and last but not least next week we find out who
the new DOA is.
Match Seven: Abismo Negro, Hector Garza, Juventud Guerrera & Mr. Aguila
vs Jerry Lynn, Elix Skipper, Sonjay Dutt & Chris Sabin
Garza eliminates Sonjay first to give a 7-3 lead to AAA.
Skipper makes Abismo Negro tape with a sweet move making it 7-5 AAA.
Sabin eliminates Garza with a Craddle Shock to tie it up at 7.
Mr. Aguila hits a shooting star press to eliminate Skipper and give AAA
the lead at 9-7.
Juventud eliminates Sabin with the Juvi Driver making it 11-7.
Jerry Lynn eliminates Mr. Aguila to make it 11-9. If Jerry wins it goes
down to a captain's match up.
Juventud hits the 911 Juvi Driver for the win for Team AAA! 13-9 is the
final and the crowd goes wild! Antonio Pena beaks out the tequila bottle
to celebrate with his team.
Jarrett's music hits and he hits the ring. He kicks Team AAA out of the
ring and calls Tenay into it. He asks Tenay who the new DOA is and if he
doesn't tell him he will fire Tenay. Tenay says Jarrett doesn't have the
balls, but he is DEAD wrong. Tenay...is...FIRED!!!!!!! The show is over
folks!
Overall it would have been a great show if the audio and visual problems
didn't happen. Good to see Tenay fired, even though we all know he will
be back. I hope he stays away for a while at least. We shall see.
