Tenay welcomes us to the PPV and we go straight to the ring for our first
match.
Match One: Frankie Kazarian vs Elix Skipper
Decent match where Kazarian gets the win by reversing a Skipper move.
After the match, Kazarian attacks Elix from behind until Jerry Lynn comes
to the rescue and tosses Kazarian out of the ring.
Hudson in back with five men in the 10 man battle royal tonight. Kash,
Swinger, Gilberti, Shane, and Young. Gilberti asks if everyone is with him
tonight. Kash says that he is the notorious KID and that he isn't going to
listen to anyone. The rest say they are with Gilberti.
Tenay in the ring calls out Vince Russo to the ring. Russo sells the fact
that he told Chris Harris that he isn't ready for his own good. Russo
wanted to make sure Harris is at the top of his game and knows everything
that Jarrett will throw at him. He then tells Chris that he is behind him
100% and he hopes that Harris is the next NWA Champ. Raven's music hits as
Tenay tries to continue. Raven comes out with Sabu in tow. The crowd
starts a "What About Raven" chant before Raven starts talking. He heard
Vince talk about Harris, Harris, Harris, but what about him? What about
Raven. He asks why he isn't booked in the show tonight and why he doesn't
have his title shot. Russo says he has tried to get a hold of Raven all
wekk and that he doesn't know what Raven does from Thursday to Tuesday
(Raven says he doesn't want to know). Vince says he brought in Sabu and
made them a team and next week there is a tag title tournament and Sabu
and Raven are ranked number one. Raven says that isn't what he wants.
Russo tells him that he can go into the 10 man tonight and Raven says he
shouldn't need to qualify. Russo says he can make the ladder match between
AJ and Abyss a three way for the #1 contendership. Raven says again that
he doesn't need to qualify. Russo says he is out of options, but Raven
says he isn't. Take Harris out of the title match and put him in because
Harris is not ready. Russo says the match is already booked, so he will
not take Raven out and put him in. Raven says he sees what is happen in
WCW, Russo interjects and says it is not WCW. He will get his chance, but
not tonight. Raven says he knows that Russo doesn't want Raven as
champion, he knows it, but he says that it is cool because before the end
of the night Russo will know how serious Raven is.
Video package on Monte Brown's return to TNA.
Hudson in back with Monte Brown. Love the new interview set they had.
Brown makes fun of ICP and the people who are made that he beat up some
clowns. Brown says he tried to be nice, but now he is just going to be
himself.
Match Two: Monte Brown vs Chris Vaughn
Well, Monte is now the owner of Russo's music as he comes out for his
first match back. Johnny Fairplay is spotted in the first row of TNA
during the match with Lollipop and a lady named Brenda from Star Magazine.
Monte finishes off Vaughn with the Pounce and the Alpha Bomb.
After the match, Brown beats on Vaughn until Don Harris comes out and
clears the ring.
Hudson in back with AJ Styles to talk about his match later with Abyss. He
then asks AJ about Harris' shot and Raven's desire for a shot. AJ says
Harris is ready and Raven does deserve a shot. Hudson then asked AJ if he
talked to Russo since his return and AJ says no and that he doesn't plan
too.
Video package of the Franchise's match against Harris last week.
Match Three: Shane Douglas vs James Storm
Decent match from the two as Harris gets the win after Shane Douglas is
distracted by Tracy and a Super Kick from Storm.
After the match, Douglas is pissed off at Tracy. Michael Shane comes down
to help Tracy. Shane and Michael get nose to nose before calming down.
Hudson in the back with Jeff Jarrett to go over his title match later with
Chris Harris. During the interview, Goldy walks in on the phone again with
Watts. Jarrett takes the phone and asks Watts how the unemployment line
is. He tells him to try delivering pizzas. Goldy takes the phone back and
tells Jarrett never to touch something that is hers again. Jarrett says
that Goldy is a little hot tonight and asks if she is going to beat him
up. Funny stuff.
Video package for the 10 man battle royal
Match Four: 10 Man Contender Gauntlet Match
Simon Diamond is entrant #1 for the match. #2 is David Young. New entrant
every sixty seconds
Raven came down after the 5 entrant and even flow DDTed Siaki who was
eliminated shortly thereafter. He then got in the camera and asked Russo
if he hears him now? Shane and Killings are the final two in the match and
have a great battle with each other. The end came when Douglas came down
and threw a chain to Michael Shane. Shane didn't want it and threw it back
to Douglas. Killings then got the win with a michinoku driver.
After the match, Douglas gets in Shane's face about it and we go back to
West and Tenay to talk about what is coming up tonight still.
In the back, Hudson finds Russo and Raven getting into it. Russo said that
it isn't what they want and that he was going to get his shot eventually.
Russo suggests he leave and cool off a bit. Raven says he will leave on
his time and that he has Russo's attention now.
Video package for AJ/Abyss
Match Five: Ladder Match - AJ Styles vs Abyss
Some sick bumps in this match. It was a pretty good. The end came when AJ
was about to win and Raven came down and distracted him enough to allow
Abyss to tip the ladder sending AJ out of the ring and onto another ladder
in a sick bump. Abyss climbed the ladder and became the #1 contender to
the World Title.
After the match, Russo is seen at the top of the ramp shaking his head in
disgust.
Tenay and West go over the tag title tournament, a six man X match to
determine the #1 contender to the X title which will mark the return of
Amazing Red.
Raven in back in a confrontation over the outcome of the last match.
Security has to break up the skirmish.
Video package for the world title match.
Match Six: World Title Match - Jeff Jarrett vs Chris Harris
Lots of missed spots in the match, but it was still a good match. Storm
interfered a couple times, Raven ended up costing Harris the match
allowing Jarrett
Russo gets on the mic and tells Raven that he got his attention, and next
week he will not like the consequences at all. Russo then tells Jarrett
that the next time he defends that title it will be in the biggest steel
cage ever invented for wrestling. Raven motions it will be he and Jarrett
and then AJ attacks Raven. They brawl as the show goes off the air.
Pretty good show tonight, but this wasn't "Wrestling Reinvented" the way
Bob Ryder sold it. Still a good show.
