The WWE viewership in the US is decreasing. The company are now aware that they will have to expand into other countries if they want to continue to be a multi million dollar business during the years to come.

The company has now opened its first training facility outside of the US. The facility is in London and is a bespoke Performance Centre.

WWE veteran wrestler Paul Levesque (Triple H) who serves as the current Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative was present to open the building.

The centre will serve as a means to develop and nurture talent in Europe.

The centre will help to develop and hone the skills of 30 athletes who are part of the NXT division which is the WWE’s developmental brand.

As reported by The Star, Triple H said: “This is the latest milestone in our global localisation strategy and the next step in establishing local NXT brands around the world.

“We are incredibly proud to open the UK Performance Center and provide our NXT UK Superstars the same world-class coaching and development programs that we deliver at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.”
