Talk, talk, talk..that’s what we get from the WWE to start the show. Over on TNA we get AJ Styles and Ric Flair vs. Abyss and Hulk Hogan. Even though it didn’t last long because of interference by Sting, at least we got some wrestling to start off. The WWE had HBK and Undertaker talking and then they followed it up with the women wrestling a match. Needless to say, they still can’t wrestle. For a fan of pro wrestling, I have been waiting for this night for years since the downfall of WCW. I would love it if TNA would beat WWE in the ratings, now that would be something. TNA put on a way better show then WWE did in my opinion. Or maybe it was because it was something new and I wanted to see something different.

RVD returned to wrestling but not to WWE. He instead returned to face Sting in a very quick match where RVD pinned Sting but then Sting used a bat on him. Setting up a match at the next PPV I am sure. There was also a return of sorts of Jeff Hardy at the end of the show as well. We’ll have to see if he will be around for awhile or not depending on his court case. I won’t get into all the wrestling that took place on TNA because there were quite a few matches that took place. But the main theme of this is that TNA did come through for us fans. They were on top of their game this night. I hope they can keep it up and make WWE rethink having their opening segment be a talking segment. Right when I saw Undertaker come in and then HBK show up I knew the jawing was on so I tuned out and went back to TNA. Hogan and Flair delivered some old school stuff and believe me, that’s what I was waiting for, thank goodness for something different.

Next week WWE is going to have Stone Cold be a host, will I tune in? I probably will because TNA isn’t going to be live and that is the thing, being live is something to tune into. Taping the show saves money I suppose but in order to have ratings, they will have to rethink this in the long run. With Raw being live each and every week, TNA may just be in trouble if they tape a lot of their Monday night shows. The WWE is also promoting Wrestlemania type matches as well and then having Bret Hart/Vince McMahon along with Stone Cold will definitely help them for next week anyways. The New Monday Night Wars has just begun and to me TNA beat the WWE as far as true wrestling is concerned. Good show guys, keep it up…you might just have to have live Monday night shows all the time, I’m just saying…

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
