 Winters' Storm-Predictions for Vengeance

Is it me or is TNA piping in audience reaction to what is going on in the ring when Hogan and Bitchoff are talking to one another? Well for that matter, are they piping in the crowd reaction for everything? Are they over emphasizing the “loudness” in the arena? It sure seems so. Gotta be Bitchoff’s idea from the old WCW days, and we know how that worked for them don’t we? Selling off the federation to WWE. I actually took the time this past Thursday to watch the show just to see how it was. It sure seemed like a poorly produced WCW show from the 90’s. This is pretty much why I don’t watch the show that much anymore. That and TNA just doesn’t do it for me…having James Storm being the TNA Heavyweight Champion doesn’t do it for me either…I just say, whatever to the whole damn show. But being a columnist for an internet wrestling site, I suppose I need to keep abreast to what is going on with them no matter how my true feelings are for the product.

This brings me to my predictions for the WWE Vengeance PPV….

Mark Henry vs. The Big Show for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship….As you well know, I don’t care for the big gorilla that is Henry, but I would really like to see him win against the Big Slow and win fair and square. Why? He’s been running over most of the competitors for the past several months, so to make him a legit champ, I think he should go over the Big Slow. So that would bring up the quandary, who will be able to dethrone this man? That’s a very good question, and one that will come up in the ensuing weeks and months ahead, but to me it isn’t Big Slow. Maybe it could be a surprise and actually have someone like Daniel Bryan win when we think he would lose. He could go in as the underdog and no one (including me) would think he could possibly pull of a title win and then actually do it…I would like to see that happen.

Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship….Gotta go with Del Rio because as I hear it, Punk will be going against Rio for the Championship as the weeks and months proceed. And also, with the Rock returning, Cena shouldn’t have the title around his waist for the rivalry anyways. He doesn’t need it to have a feud with the People’s Champion. The only reason to care about Cena in the coming months will be this particular feud with the Rock anyways.

Triple H and CM Punk vs. R-Truth and The Miz…..HHH has the ego like Hogan, so I have to go with a Punk, HHH win. Much as I want Truth and Miz to win this one, I don’t think it will be their night. With that being the case, Punk can then move onto his rivalry with Del Rio and regain the WWE Championship.

Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres for the WWE Divas Championship….I understand Vince McMahon could careless about this division and evening has Michael Cole talking about other things during these types of matches, so with that being the case, why would we fans care either.

Air Boom vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Tag Team Championship….Sorry but Boom will win this. Dolph Ziggler will probably go into a feud against Mason Ryan and Swagger could go on to go against Zach Ryder. Or Zach Ryder could move on to a 3 way feud with him, Ziggler, and Ryan for the United States Title.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes…Doesn’t look as if the IC title is on the line for this match. It will be a good one though. Even though Orton should be a heel in the WWE, he and Rhodes will put on a good match. Rhodes has improved a lot lately and Vince likes the kid too. Because the title isn’t on the line, I don’t see Orton losing this one. Besides, he has lost the last couple of PPV’s so I see him winning this match, but I don’t see this rivalry ending anytime soon.

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
