Cain Velasquez Victorious In US In Ring Debut

Cain Velasquez continues to impress inside the squared circle.

Lucha Libre AAA made their return to New York City on Sunday night with the Invading NY PPV at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Velasquez had a successful US debut as Velasquez, teaming with Brian Cage & Psycho Clown defeated the team of Texano Jr., Black Taurus & Rey Escorpion at the event.

Velasquez, who looked impressive in his debut match at AAA Triplemania XXVII in August, continued to impress pulling out athelitic lucha libre moves and showcasing  his high-flying abilities.

Velasquez recently spoke to bloodyelbow.com about his future plans, and reiterating that his MMA career is far from over:

“The door is not closed,” Velasquez said. “I’m always thinking about it. I definitely would like to fight again for sure. I don’t know when, but that door is always open. I’m still going to the gym and training, even though it’s not like I’m training for a fight.

“Right now I’m just having so much fun doing the pro wrestling, so we’ll see what happens. But as far as right now, I do plan on fighting again.”
