SummerSlam Tryout MVP Rayne Leverkusen

Meet Rayne Leverkusen: WWE’s Summerslam Tryout MVP

Since the inception of WWE’s Next In Line (NIL) program, as well as the growth of Evolve, WWE has made bigger deals about their tryouts during large events, like SummerSlam. This year, WWE held its tryouts in New Jersey, just days before the Biggest Party of the Summer. Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom had all eyes on this new crop of hopefuls, with one talent really standing out. Matt Bloom named Rayne Leverkusen the WWE Tryout MVP.

Who Is Rayne Leverkusen?

Rayne Leverkusen is a 25-year-old sensation who has taken the United Kingdom by storm. Just shy of four years in the business, Rayne Leverkusen became a nomad very early in her career. She cut her teeth in noted promotions, like PROGRESS, Revolution Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling EVE, Wrestle Carnival, DDT, and Hustle Wrestling.

The Maiden of Metal started to really come into her own with a series of matches against Nina Samuels. Their three-match storyline culminated in Rayne Leverkusen capturing the Hustle Wrestling Championship. She is still the Champion today, with a reign of over 250 days and counting.

Just last month, The Maiden of Metal also won the Fallen Angel Tournament. She defeated her rival, Nina Samuels, in the finals. With momentum on this 25-year-old prodigy’s side, it looks like Rayne Leverkusen is looking to transition Stateside and earn a WWE contract.

WWE Names 2025 SummerSlam Tryout MVP

WWE’s tryouts in New Jersey boasted over 55 names in sports, entertainment, and modeling. Former WWE ID talent Zoe Sager, British strongman Will Kroos, and social media influencer Meghan Walker were among the many names on hand.

However, just one talent really stood out. In fact, they were unanimously named the MVP of the three-day tryout. That person was UK sensation Rayne Leverkusen.

Matt Bloom addressed the WWE hopefuls:

“Someone who just raised the bar, and did a really good job during this tryout. This doesn’t mean that this person is guaranteed a contract…But this person, for the last three days, stood out. And the staff collectively came up with the winner of this Title.

And I am proud to give this Title to the person who proclaims that ‘Metal will never die.’

The Performance Center roared in agreement as an emotional Rayne made her way ringside. Matt Bloom handed Rayne a Championship that she posed with proudly.

Will WWE Sign Rayne Leverkusen?

Matt Bloom did note that winning MVP of the SummerSlam tryout doesn’t guarantee a contract. However, reports are that the British star really turned heads in the Performance Center.

Currently, Rayne wrestles as a magnetic babyface in the United Kingdom. She has a ton of charisma, and has the crowd salivating for a win when she locks in her version of the Lion Tamer. It will be interesting to see if she ends up in NXT by the end of the year!
